SOUTH SUDANOIL & POWER 2017EVALUATION
SOUTH SUDAN’S ELITE EVENTFOR ENERGY AND INFRASTRUCTURE
October 11-12, 2017UAP Equatoria Tower, JUBA
South Sudan’s upstream operators, downstream companies and ser-vice providers demonstrate what we know to be the best of the ener-gy industry. Resilience, optimism and adaptability have become the hallmarks of Juba’s oil and gas leaders.
For the six years since independence, South Sudan and its people have struggled to build the foundations for prosperity and growth. The energy industry has been at the forefront of this effort, provid-ing employment, support for private sector growth, and public sector revenues. In the field, operators have suffered violence and vandal-ism leading to shutdowns and the loss of years of development po-tential. But as we enter the last quarter of 2017, a sense of optimism once again prevails.
While the global energy industry adapted to a low price environment, South Sudan faced the added pressure of conflict and the growth pains of a new country, and a post-independence infrastructure defi-cit. With conflict subsiding and the rise of an even stronger political and commercial will to bring investment into refineries, oilfields and power plants, South Sudan is in a powerful position to rise as the cen-ter point for the petroleum industry of its emerging region.
South Sudan Oil & Power 2017 is the forum created by the Govern-ment of National Unity of South Sudan and Africa Oil & Power to reveal the promise of East Africa’s only major petroleum producer. Our speakers, workshop leaders and delegates gather in Juba with a mission to build an energy sector that leads South Sudan’s economic resurgence.
Talk to an AOP organizer if you would like to arrange a meeting with a speaker or delegate at this conference. From the Africa Oil & Power team, we wish you an enjoyable and productive time at South Sudan Oil & Power 2017.
Sincerely,
Africa Oil & Power team
