Social Health Services Social Health Services aims to reduce the harm caused by the use of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs and overall improve community safety and the social emotional wellbeing of individuals, families and communities by providing culturally sensitive programs and services.

We provide a holistic approach to addressing emotional, psychological, cultural and spiritual needs of Aboriginal people through counselling, case management and therapeutic healing programs.

Feedback on Strengths Being able to recognize when someone is not their self.

The strengths I consider, was having an Aboriginal Health Worker as an Instructor deliver this training. I was very lucky that this course was offered to me, free and travel was not in Sydney, but local.

To me, and this is a personal opinion, made it be very clear the different thinking in Mental health within different cultures

The instructor including everyone within the group and every one as far as I could see was relaxed during the course while still involved. Enjoyed the short films specially. They brought a lot of the course information front and centre
