DIFFERENT KINDS OF MATTERS

What is matter it is refer to something like solid, liquids and gases.

There are three different forms of matters: solid, liquid and gas.

Solids When matter is in a solid form, it is easy to pick it up. Solid do not change

their size and shape easily. E.g. of solids are pens and pencils, trees, cars, rocks and ice.

Liquids When something is in liquid form, it will take on the shape of the container

it is in. E.g. liquid of water, milk, oil and cooldrink.

Gases when something is in gas form, you cannot always see it. E.g. gases are

steam, air and oxygen.

WATER CHANGES ITS FORMS Water changes to a solid from its form when it frozen. It becomes ice. water

always freezes when the temperature drops below 0˚C.This is the freezing point of water.

Water exist in its liquid form at room temperature. When water is above 0˚C it is a liquid.

Water changes to a gas when it is boiled. It becomes steam. Water boils at 100˚C. This called its boiling temperature.
