ECOTHERM High Performance Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers with Turbulator Rods

Ecotherm heat exchangers with their patented free floating turbulator rods are the most superior heat ex-changers available. They incorporate all of the advantages and non of the disadvantages of other types of heat exchangers or heating coils.

High performanceUnlike conventional shell and tube heat exchangers, ECOTHERM's high capacity heat exchangers contain pa-tented free floating turbulator rods. The rods greatly increase the perfor-mance and reduce the size of the heat exchanger. The domestic hot water flows through the heat exchanger at high speed in less than 1 second. The cold water is heated up from 12°C to 60°C in one pass.

CompactECOTHERM's high capacity heat exchangers are extremely compact compared to conventional water hea-

ters. With a floor space saving potenti-al of up to 95%, the ECOTHERM high capacit water heater is fully compliant with the current building trend for lo-wer building costs through compacter heating systems. The very small sur-face area of the heat exchanger mini-mises radiation heat loss, thus enhan-cing the overall fuel efficiency of the water heater.

Anti-foulingThe high speed of water flow and the oscillating action of the free floa-ting turbulator rods help prevent fou-ling deposits from collecting in the heat exchanger. Maximum efficiency and optimum hygiene are maintained throughout the life of the water heater.

Lifelong corrosion free serviceECOTHERM Stainless Steel AISI 316 / duplex gives lifelong corrosion free service. ECOTHERM stainless steel is a valuable raw material for recycling.

ELC11 ECOTHERM Logic Controller

ECOTHERM Fibre-Fleece InsulationECOTHERM offers unequalled value for money with an own developed fibre-fleece insulation solution. The insulating polyester fibre-fleece offers a greatly improved insulation solution for up to 30 percent less heat losses in the standby mode compared with standard foam insulation. This ma-terial is produced from recycled PET bottles with no chemical additives and is itself 100% recyclable. The insulati-on is flame retardant to DIN 4102-1 in the building material groups B1 or B2.

Patented componentsThe patented closure strip allows for simple and quick opening of the outer sheathing cover surface by only one person. The self developed covering rosettes for the connecting sleeves pro-vide an optimal and completely reliable seal while the tight and secure fit pre-vents any heat loss at the connection points. The sheathing can be printed individually to the customers wishes.

A touch panel enables easy control or efficiency checks.

ECOTHERM high capacity water heater models EHRE and EDRE are equipped with own ELC logic control unit to ensure permanent control and performance monitoring of hot water output at all times.

The Control Panel is an intelligent ter-minal for programming and visualization of automated processes. The process of diagnosis and the operation and monitoring of automated processes are simplified by this installation terminal.

A touch screen is used to enter data and process parameters. The output is displayed on a 5.7 "VGA TFT color display.

The operator has complete control of all water heater functions via the keypad and display on the front of the control unit. The operator sets the

desired performance parameters, and the control unit operates the water heater fully automatically, constantly monitoring temperatures and control-ling the pumps and valves to match the current hot water demand with the lowest possible fuel consumption. All automatic functions can be adjusted, switched on/off or manually overridden by the operator at any time.

Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Hospital - Kuwait ECOTHERM - Turnkey Hot Water and Steam System

Project descriptionAfter a 5-year construction period, the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Hospital will be the largest health centre in Kuwait.

Equipped with 1,168 beds the hospital in addition includes 36 operating rooms for patients of all classes. It has four cardiology laboratories, four MRI laboratories, 4 CT laboratories, and probably the largest trauma centre in the entire Middle East.

With this project Kuwait will provide its residents the best possible health care. The total cost amount for this project is approximately 1.16 billion US dollar.

Project descriptionAt the university a hospital and a research centre are located.The hospital is specialized in the treatment of sick children. It is the first hospital of the kind in Saudi Arabia and has 85,000 m² of floor space. The building has a capacity of 350 beds, and makes available concentrated paediatric medical care. Each hospital ward has its own classrooms, play rooms, storage areas and other support services.

ECOTHERM has also fitted out the world‘s second-tallest building – the 601-meter Abraj Al Bait Towers and Mecca Royal Clock Hotel Tower – with high-quality electrical hot water systems, after equipping the much taller Burj Khalifa in Dubai (828 meters). The edifice‘s main tower features a Big Ben-styled timepiece whose face can be read at a distance of 7 kilometers. The tower is topped by a long, solid spire ending in a half-moon at its apex. The extremely compact building complex offers over 1 million square meters of floorspace and was constructed to accommodate the numerous Muslim pilgrims who visit the mosque and holy sites in Mecca: when full, the complex can house over 30,000 people. A total of 63 stainless steel electrical hot water systems were supplied, with a combined output of 3,900 kW and 66,150 liters of hot water.
