Frederick County isutilizing the soil data obtained from USDA'sNatural Resource Conservation Service andthe tax map data obtained from the State ofMaryland's 2002 Property View Package ASIS; no modifications have been made to thedata layers. Frederick County recognizesthat inaccuracies may exist and accepts noresponsibility for positional inaccuracies,errors, or omissions. Reliance on the datapresented on this map is at the risk of theuser.The Soil Survey Geographic (SSURGO)data base was produced by the U.S.Department of Agriculture, NaturalResources Conservation Service andcooperating agencies for the Soil Survey ofFrederick County, Maryland. The soils weremapped at a scaleof 1:12000 with a 3 acreminimum size delineation. Enlargement ofthese maps to scales greater than that atwhich they were originally mapped cancause misunderstanding of the detail of themapping. If enlarged, maps do not show thesmall areas of contrasting soil that couldhave been shown at a larger scale. Thedepicted soil boundaries and interpretationsderive from them do not eliminate the needof onsite sampling, testing, and detailedstudy of specific sites for intensive uses.Thus, this map and its interpretations areintended for planning purposes only.
