Program

Travel to Florence, Ferrara, Venice, and Rome to discover the history and

culture of the Italian Renaissance! Inves-tigate the social, economic, and cultural background which made possible one of the greatest art revolutions in the West, characterized by such masters as Leon-ardo, Michelangelo and Raphael…while walking the very streets they walked! Based on one week of stateside instruc-tion and two weeks of international travel, our goal will be to learn to appreciate not only the beauty of Renaissance art, but also its meaning and function as a mirror of the society which created it.

Early registration is strongly encouraged. Proof of a valid passport is required prior to the trip. Any disability requiring special at-tention must be reported to the instructor.

Required pre-departure orientation at Fresno State. See instructor for date and location.

Payment ScheduleCourse fee is $3,100. A deposit of $1,000 is due to the Division of Continuing and Global Education by January 23, 2015. The final payment of $2,100 is due April 10, 2015. Make check payable to “Fresno State”. A limited number of travel study scholarships will be available for matricu-lated Fresno State students. Contact the instructor for more information. Note: all fees are subject to change.

CGE Refund ScheduleFor cancellations made by January 22, 2015, participants will receive a full refund. Beginning January 23, 2014, no refunds will be made. If the program fees are not paid by the due dates, the student’s regis-tration will be canceled with no refund.

Participants in this program must have a valid passport. Those needing a U.S. Pass-port can apply in the Continuing and Global Education office, located in Kremen Educa-tion Building, Room 130.
