Ongoing projects with a focus on coastal interactions:
o South Florida Water, Sustainability, and Climate Project• Water and coastal stakeholder interviews (underway)• Behavioral response research using HazSim (underway)• Modeling workshops (planned for Spring 2015)
o Miami Beach SLR Initiative• Four meetings held• Scoping potential areas of collaborative research between
interdisciplinary teams, guided by needs expressed by Miami Beach employees and other stakeholders

Social Network Analysis and the SECC
Preliminary Efforts- Analysis of patterns of co-authorship
among SECC members 2007-2014.- Determine levels of collaboration among
SECC universities and partners in government agencies, research centers, NGOs, and non-SECC universities in publications, reports, and extension documents.
Future Plans
- Integrate SNA into a continuous monitoring program to measure cross-disciplinary and cross-theme integration in SECC programs.
- Measure and monitor SECC interactions with stakeholders in outreach, extension, and decision-support activities.
- Identify patterns of collaboration and integration between the SECC and other RISAs.
