Celebrating Life

you're busy making other plans.”

My Perfect Life
In my imagination of a perfect
life
I have long hair;
I am a civil servant, and
I am married and happily
settled.
I am now
I do not have
long hair
neither
am I married
or a DC
More reason to celebrateI know the value of life.
With 3 surgeries I have
learned how valuable and
precious my life is to myself
and to others
I am very lucky to have a
family who can support me
emotionally, financially,
morally and in every way
possible
Journey
We experience a lot of hardship
pain that we hide from one another,
tears of joy and sorrow,
all of us in our own way afraid
to accept the truth
the tension every time we go for a scan and the relief when nothing shows up for the
moment
Living in Present
I too have had my weak
moments.
I throw tantrums,
I feel like giving up as well.
But those are just passing
times.
I have a stronger will to fight
the illness than to give in.
Struggling with Cancer
While we patients have our own issues (Pain
of the surgery, side effects of chemo etc.,)
our parents, siblings and other caregivers
face their own problems. They see their
loved ones suffer;
they try very hard to be strong
although they are in pain within
“Mind is everything what you think you become”
- Buddha
Great Lessons
I have become a better person,
a better human being.
I have learned to appreciate things that
I had taken for granted earlier.
Ex: TIME
Realization
We have no say what so ever on
when we are born and when we will
die.
All I can do is be a good human being.
I learned with perseverance and will
power one can achieve anything.
Give love. It will come back to you in
abundance.
My Beliefs
Faith and hope have kept me
going strong for so many years and
many years to come!
I am sure
there is a reason and meaning
for whatever is happening!
