SMU ties up with the Financial Markets Association to offer financial training The Singapore Management University says it's tying up with the Financial Markets Association to launch a series of training and certification programmes for financial market professionals in Singapore and the region. The partnership will see the two parties co-develop and deliver a comprehensive suite of courses. They'll cover a broad spectrum of treasury operations from front, middle to back office functions. SMU says this is the first time such an extensive curriculum has been developed for finance professionals in the fields of trading, treasury sales, product control and operation support services. Taught by SMU faculty and industry professionals, the programmes cater to both new entrants to the industry and experienced professionals. Duration of the courses range from two months for certification courses to up to six months for specialist diplomas. The first course is slated to start in the fourth quarter of this year. The Financial Markets Association is headquartered in Paris and it's the largest international association in the wholesale financial markets. It has over 13 thousand members in more than 60 countries worldwide.
