Use Accession Communicator/MaX UC (”the App”) to access VoiceConnect phone service to make or receive calls from a desk phone, PC, MAC, or mobile device(s). For this to work, an Internet connection is required to run and install the App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. CONTACTS TABSelect the Contacts tab to view your Contacts list. Depending on how your service is set up, the list may include those that are:

• Typed into the App • Stored on your mobile device • Contacts in VoiceConnect • Contacts in your corporate directory

The contact’s status appears in a speech bubble next to their profile picture. Select a contact to access Call and Chat options. Tap the Plus icon to add new contacts.

PHONE TABTap the Phone tab to make a call, view your Call History and listen to Voicemail.

To make a call, tap on a contact and select the number to call or tap on the Dialer icon and enter the number.

If the person you dialed has caller ID, they will see your phone number.

VOICEMAIL TABThe Voicemail tab shows messages received.

• Tap the Play icon to listen to a voicemail • Tap the Voicemail entry to see Call, Chat, and More options • Tap More to access View Contact, Mark as Unheard, Delete Message, or Forward Message

CHAT TABTap the Chat tab to use Instant Messaging. Enter your Chat Address and Password and tap Sign In. Tap on a contact to continue a previous conversation or tap on the New Message icon and choose a contact.

From within the chat window, start or continue a conversation, send files, call a contact, or add one or more participants to a conversation. Instant Messages automatically sync to all devices running the App.

RECEIVING CALLSWhen a call is received, the App offers the choice to accept or reject it. Depending on your other DirectLink services, you may also see the incoming call on your desk phone, desktop, or on a smartphone or tablet device. From there, choose a device to answer the call.

DURING THE CALLWhile a call is in progress, use the call window to:

• Mute your microphone • Access the Keypad • Turn on the Speaker • Put the call on Hold • Invite a Favorites contact to join the call • The Add/Transfer option allows you to make a second call and add the contact into a 3-way call or transfer the call • Access More Options (switch to video call or switch the call to another device)

If you receive another call while you are already on one, the App gives you the option to:

• Hold or end the call and answer incoming • Ignore incoming call

TRANSFER THE CALLTap Add/Transfer to send the call to another number by selecting a contact or typing in a number. Calls can be transferred to another device without hanging up.

SWITCH THE CALL TO A CELLULAR NETWORK If a call is made or received when connected to a WiFi network, the call will automatically switch to your cellular data network if you disconnect from the WiFi network. You may do this manually by selecting the Switch icon and choosing This Device (cellular).
