1) Add a barcode to the document, if the ERP software is a textual based software and can’t print a barcode, you can use SmartPrinter to print a barcode on the document.

Existing Problems:Printing all pages in a color printer will be expensive.Printing all pages in a B/W printer will not give proper result.Printing parts of the job in color and parts in B/W may cause a mix when joining the parts back together.

Inside the B/W printer there is a small and powerful barcode reader (sometimes 2 readers) which reads each page, and reports the readings to a PC with the BDV software on it.

The BDV software analyze the incoming data and make sure that thepages are coming out in thecorrect order, and that nopage is missing or wrong.

In case the BDV software detects an error, it reports it to a log file, alerts the machine operator and stops the machine using the Stop Plug which simulates an “out of paper” situation for theprinter causing a soft-stop
