RECENT GAMES
Philadelphia 101, Atlanta 91 – Phillips Arena, Atlanta, GA – March 30, 2018
As written by Sixers.com’s Brian Seltzer… The 76ers started the two-game road trip by defeating the Atlanta Hawks 101-91 Friday night in Atlanta. The win gave the Sixers
their ninth-straight. The Sixers went up 30-27 after the first quarter behind Ersan Ilaysova's 11 points, and Ben Simmons' 7 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds. The Sixers
maintained the lead to close out the second quarter, entering the half with a 47-41 advantage. Much like the previous handfull of games for the Sixers, it was a dominant
third quarter that truly made the difference. The team held the Hawks to 18 points in the third frame, while totaling 29 points. The Sixers held on to that lead in the fourth
period, not allowing the Hawks to fight back into the game.
Philadelphia 118, New York 101 – The Center, Philadelphia, PA – March 28, 2018
As written by Sixers.com’s Brian Seltzer… The 76ers finished off a three-game home stand by defeating the New York Knicks 118-101 at The Center. The win completed the
season sweep over the Knicks, and also gave the Sixers their eighth-straight victory. The Sixers created a 37-28 lead after the first quarter, behind JJ Redick's and Dario
Saric's 7 points each. The Knicks trimmed the deficit down to two with 4:03 to go in the second quarter, before making it a tie game at 56 all. However, the Sixers ended
the half back in front, and entered the break with a 67-63 lead. The Sixers once again benefited from a strong third quarter, holding the Knicks to 17 points in the third
frame. The Sixers remained in control for the remainder of the game, despite the Knicks remaining competitive throughout.
Philadelphia 123, Denver 104– The Center, Philadelphia, PA – March 26, 2018
As written by Sixers.com’s Brian Seltzer…For a team on a roll and having just one day earlier seized its first playoff berth in six years, Monday’s announcement less than
two hours before tip-off that the 2017 no. 1 pick would be making an anticipated, somewhat surprise return was as compelling as it was dramatic. But Markelle Fultz told
Brett Brown he was ready to go, so the 76ers put the rookie guard back on the active roster. Fultz didn’t disappoint. In fact, he seemed fresh and confident, turning in what
was easily his best performance in five games as a pro.
