Initial Meeting:The first meeting is by appointment with a designer during which the designer will answer any questions you may have. The conversation is generally regarding the design process, design ideas and accessories offered. It is extremely helpful to come with the following:

• Floor plans if they exist or a rough sketch of room layouts including room dimensions, ceiling heights and flooring (it is especially important to know if there is any in floor heating)

• Photographs that would illustrate a style or look you want to achieve

• List of accessories or features you would like to include in your cabinetry (staggered heights, corner saving units, rollouts, door mount garbage, etc…)

• General ideas for what appliances you want and where you want them located

• Budget Estimate

*** Keep in mind the biggest challenge a designer has is to fully understand the vision you have for your kitchen. The more information and visual aids you can provide the better***.

Site Visit:If the project is new construction there are generally floor plans that the designer can use to develop the draft drawings. However, if the project is a remodel the designer may want to visit the site in order to better understand the scope of the project. Please consult with a contractor (prior to our visit) regarding the re-arranging and moving of walls to ensure it is structurally feasible to do so.

Draft Drawings:

The designer will develop 3-D drawings that best encompass the information gained from the initial meeting and site visit. These drawings will then be emailed, sent or faxed to you.

Revisions (One Set):Once you have had the opportunity to review the draft drawings we would ask for you to develop a list of changes you would like to see made. Please take the time to thoroughly think through the plan/s. Review the placement of appliances, cabinet sizes, island size, number of rollouts and other accessories. The goal here is to get the draft drawings to be as close a representation to the final product you desire as possible, thereby making the estimate as accurate as possible.

Estimate:With the basic design established, we can move to estimating the cost. There are many variables that factor into estimating: wood species, door styles, construction type, accessories and hardware. Not all of this information is necessary at this point, however the more of these selections that can be provided the more accurate the estimate will be.

Engagement:After you have reviewed the revised drawings and estimate, and have decided to proceed you will be asked to make a fifty percent down payment. The fifty percent will be based on the initial estimate. Final pricing will be based on the final drawings and the actual product delivered.

Design Finalization:Remember you are getting custom cabinetry which means everything is built specifically to meet your application. To finalize your design we will need to go on site to take final measurements. In order for us to take final measurements we need electrical and plumbing roughed in, and stud walls in place. We also need all appliance specifications and any other pertinent information (see checklist).

Selection Finalization:It is at this stage that the designer will assist you in finalizing your selections:

• Door & Drawer Style

• Finishes – stain color, paint color, finish (satin, semi-gloss), glazing, distressed, rubbed

• Construction Type - standard half inch overlay, inset or full-overlay

• Accessories

• Hardware (knobs and pulls)

• Countertops:

• Types: Quartz (Cambria/Caesarstone), Granite, Laminate, Cultured Marble (Onyx), Solid Surface (Corian)

• Colors

• Edge

• Backsplash

Approval of Final Drawings & Pricing:Once we have your final design and selections we will re-price to reflect any changes made after the initial estimate. In order to move ahead we will require your signature approving the order.

Production & Delivery:Once the project gets out to the shop our production time is generally four to six weeks (lead times may vary during peak times of the year). Keep in mind the “clock” does not start until:

• Down payment has been provided

• Final drawings & pricing have been signed and approved

• Final appliance specifications have been provided

• Final selections have been provided
