Trim back foam pad if damaged during sill removal.

Pry sill cap from sill base using two flat blade screwdrivers. Place 1st screwdriver into sill weatherstrip kerf and 2nd screwdriver into sill cap notch. Starting at one end and working towards other, simultaneously rotate 2nd screwdriver to release lip of sill cap from sill base while prying up on 1st screwdriver to lift sill cap away from sill base. Properly dispose of old sill cap.

Open door panels to expose sill cap. Remove sill weatherstrip with a needle nose pliers and save for reuse.

▶ Sill cap replacement is completed.

Reattach replacement sill cap by hooking exterior leg first then rotate sill cap to snap interior leg to sill base. Use rubber mallet to seat cap.

Press sill weatherstrip into sill kerf with angle cut overlapping jamb weatherstrip. Press weatherstrip into sill kerf full length.

If foam pad was trimmed in step 4, re-seal ends of sill cap using a clear sealant.

1st - hook sill cap exterior leg

2nd - rotate and snap interior leg.

Push and hold sill cap to opposite jamb as you lower sill cap into place to prevent scratching door jamb cladding.
