A chance to spend a delightful day out of Rome, to visit Umbria, one of the most picturesque regions of

Italy rich in vineyards, olive trees and the famous hill-top villages across the valley. The route is dotted

with charming medieval towns such as Orvieto, renowned for its beautiful Cathedral (visit), Spoleto (Giancarlo Menotti’s Festival dei Due Mondi), Trevi, Foligno, Spello and most famous of all Assisi. The

mystic town of Saint Francis, still surrounded by the ancient walls, is built on the green slopes of Mount

Subasio with its colourful houses of pink stone. Narrow streets, flowerdecked balconies, noble palaces,

provide beautiful views for memorable pictures (do not forget your camera). An interesting visit to St.

Francis Basilica with its early renaissance master-pieces of Giotto and Cimabue and the Basilica of

After leaving the agency, the tour will cross the city and take the Autostrada del Sole, northbound (major Italian highway). During the

trip, some of the most beautiful Italian regions will be crossed: Lazio, Umbria and Toscana. Arrival in Florence at approximately 11.30 a.m. The tour of the city will include the Cathedral of Santa

Maria del Fiore with Giotto’s Bell–tower and Baptistry, the Academy with Michelangelo’s David (visit), della Signoria’s

Square and Palace. Lunch in a typical restaurant will follow. In the afternoon the tour will proceed to Piazza Santa Croce. Free time at your disposal. The drive continues to Piazzale Michelangelo from where a magnificent view of this Renaissance city can be admired,

including Ponte Vecchio.

GENERAL CONDITIONS1-CONTRACTS- tour contracts are governed by rules and regulations laid down by the International Convention relating to tour contracts (CCV) signed in Brussells on the 23 April 1970 and ratified by law n. 1084 on the 27 December 1977 and by the Statues of law 111/95.2- REGISTRATION- Registration depends on availability and acceptance of the booking has to be confirmed by the travel agent. Registration periods are flexible unless set specifically for any particular reasons.3-PRICES- The prices are set by the organising travel agency on the basis of the cost of organising the said tour.The price can be varied by the agency, in any event of currency fluctuations, changes in carriers and service costs. Where applicable the price includes transport by luxury air-conditioned coach, guide services, entrance fees, meals as specified, boat reservations where indicated, services of a tour leader for excursions of one or more days, accommodation in tourist or first class hotel as stated and V.A.T. Drinks during meals, extras and any other expenses not mentioned previously are not included in the cost of the tour .Reduction of 20% for children between 2 and 12 years old inclusive and accompanied children under two are carried free of charge.4-PAYMENT- In addition to the registration fee a deposit of 25% of the total cost must be paid at the time of booking. The final balance must be paid no later than 30 days before departure. Failure to pay the final balance when due will result in the cancellation of the booking and applicable cancellation charges will be applied. For bookings made within 30 days before departure the total amount must be paid. All reservations for air/rail should be paid at the time of booking.5-CANCELLATION CHARGES- The client may partially or completely cancel the booking at any time before departure. However cancellation fees will be levied as follows:- 10% of the total cost if booking cancelled not less than 30 days before departure.- 30% of the total cost if cancelled between 21 and 29 days before departure. - 50% of the total cost if cancelled between 11 and 20 days before departure.- 75% of the total cost if cancelled between 3 and 10 days before departure.No refund will be made for cancellations made less than 3 days before departure. In addition no refund is made for clients not presenting themselves on departure or for curtailment of the booking. Passengers not in possession of the relative travel documents, passports etc. are not entitled to any refund. The initial registration fee is not refundable under any circumstances. A cancellation on the part of the client must be notified via registred letter or telegram addressed to the agency. Any refund due will be settled by the travel agency no later than 60 days from the date the cancellation was received.6-INSURANCE PROTECTION AGAINST CANCELLATION CHARGES- On registration the client has the possibility to organise through the agency at a special rate an insurance protection against any eventual cancellation charges. Protection with Europe Assistance can also be arranged.7-CANCELLATION BY THE TRAVEL AGENCY- The organising travel agency has the right to cancel your booking, partially or totally at any time according to the rules laid down by art. 10 of the International Convention relating to travel contracts (CCV). The agency must refund all monies paid for any cancellation made by the organising agent before departure. In case of circumstances beyond its control such as wars, strikes, political unrest, frontier closures, and health hazards the travel agency may withhold 5% of the total amount paid towards any administrations charges, in addition to any cancellation charges imposed on the travel agency by the various airlines, rail etc. When a booking has to be cancelled after departure the travel agency will take all necessary actions in the interests of all parties concerned and eventual liabilities for cancellation charges should be settled mutually by both parties. 8-CHANGE OF BOOKING-For operational reasons or matters beyond its control the travel agent can modify at any time or substitute alternativeservices for the same type and quality.9-RESPONSABILITES OF THE TRAVEL AGENCY-The travel agency is responsible to the client for problems encountered solely within the limits fixed by the present law.10-RESPONSABILITIES OF THE CARRIERS- The brochure and contents are published and organised solely on behalf of the said travel agency and are not organised on behalf of the carriers, who are not responsible in any way for what is published in the brochure of the agency. The carriers are accountable to the passengers only during the duration of the journey under their normal conditions of carriage, which is applicable at all times.11-LUGGAGE- At all times luggage is the sole responsability of the client.12-AGENCY BOND-The travel agency has organised with insurance Company Zurigo a policy n.209/C/3600 to cover any eventual claims by clients towards the travel agency.13- TRAVEL DOCUMENTS- Documents when required will be given to clients with a copy of the itinerary. All details of the booking are contained in the programme.14- DISPUTES- For any problems or complaints that cannot be resolved amicably between the client and travel agency, disputes should be referred to the Rome Courts.

PLEASE NOTE:The corporate organization cannot be held responsible for any eventual partial closing of the Vatican Museums .It also cannot be accountable for delays , irregularities or any damage caused by a third party or forces beyond its control. The corporate organization guarantees to pick up clients at their hotels and to accompany them back during daytime traffic permitting. The corporate organization apologizes for any eventual delay caused by heavy traffic. When a visit to a Basilica ,Church or the Vatican Museums is scheduled, it is kindly requested that both men and women dress in a manner suitable to enter (no shorts and no uncovered shoulders) a sacred place. It is not possible to visit the Sistine Chapel and the inside of St. Peter’s Basilica on some religious holidays and when the Pope is holding private Ceremonies.
