a) Mission Statement: Our mission was spelt out long ago by the founder of the Shri Shivaji Education Society,

Bhausaheb Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh. “Let us work hard,” he had said, “for the

• Aerobiological study of Amravati city and effect of various pollutants on human health

• Noise level monitoring at the eve of festivals

• Study of fluorides ,Arsenic , nitrate and sulphate in drinking water in Amravati district

and suggest control measures

• Recycling of waste paper.

• Site selection for Solid and Liquid waste management, as a part of MOU between the

dept. and Gram panchayat ZP, Amravati.

• Awareness programme at school levels by seminars and workshop.

• Air quality monitoring and analysis for Pm10 & pm 2.5, SOx, NOx, etc.


Geology:

• Department will organize seminar/Training / Workshops for UG students.

• The department will organize field excursion tour to the places of Geological interest.

• Guest lectures on important topics in Geology / Hydrogeology and Remote Sensing and

GIS.

• To attend/present research papers in national/international conference/

seminars/workshop by staff members/research students.

• The Department proposes to submit Minor/Major Research Projects for Financial

assistance to appropriate authorities.

• Department is planning to organize Job Oriented/Bridge Course on Groundwater

Exploration/ watershed management/ remote sensing during the present year.

• Attempt will be made in order to implement digital learning techniques.
