Many of today’s cosmetic tinted moisturizers and foundations have one benefit – to deliver coverage and conceal imperfections. New Sheer Tint SPF20 delivers sheer, lightweight coverage for a natural finish, making it ideal for clients who desire a make-up free look while covering imperfections and evening skin tone. This formula contains Iron Oxides, which are natural earth minerals providing skin tone-matched shades in Light, Medium and Dark to satisfy the cosmetic needs of every client. Antioxidant Olive Fruit Extract help scavenge free radicals and protect tissues against oxidative stress. Walnut Seed, in particular, helps promote skin renewal, and is a rich source of bioflavonoids that help shield against collagen and elastin breakdown to help skin maintain elasticity and firmness.

Sheer Tint SPF20 also contains powerful ingredients to combat dehydration and the signs of skin aging, simultaneously improving wearability, as well as the appearance of skin.

Hydrolyzed Pearl Powder, rich in polysaccharides, amino acids and Calcium, is a hydration booster that prolongs the wear of Sheer Tint SPF20 while maintaining an optimal moisture level in skin.

A unique complex of hydrating ingredients found in our skin’s natural moisturization factor help quench parched skin long after the product is applied. These components, like Sodium Lactate, Serine, Urea and Lactic Acid, are combined with Allantoin, Sorbitol and Glycerine to equalize moisture levels in skin. We have also added our revolutionary cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid, which has been shown to provide continuous delivery of hydration to skin.

New Cover Tint SPF20 is a creamy, hydrating foundation that delivers increased coverage for a flawless look and perfected skin. This smooth, medium-weight formula glides easily over skin, and allows for long-wearing, buildable coverage that ranges from medium to full for the desired finish. Velvety silicones help enhance coverage by evening out skin texture and creating an instantly smooth surface without dulling skin. Encapsulated Nylon particles help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and absorb oils for a velvety, shine-free appearance. Iron Oxides provide just the right amount of color in Light, Medium and Dark shades – all without clogging pores or leaving a cakey residue.

Because intense hydration is a critical element of long-lasting wear in foundation, Cover Tint SPF20 infuses skin with advanced skin care ingredients to help moisturize, minimize dryness and diminish fine lines. Hyaluronic Acid helps retain moisture levels in skin tissues, helping to maintain skin hydration throughout the day. Sheer Tint SPF20 and Cover Tint SPF20 are ideal for all skin conditions. Two levels of coverage in three custom-blended shades will help you find a match for every client. Follow our professional tips for prescribing the right product for your client. 1. Face Mapping®

Every client should receive a Face Mapping® zone-by-zone skin analysis to determine the proper skin care regimen that will help prep the skin, and subsequently enhance the look and wearability of Sheer Tint SPF20 and Cover Tint SPF20. Ideally, Face Mapping® skin analysis will take place at Skin Bar®, where Sheer Tint SPF20 and Cover Tint SPF20 testers will be set up and ready for your client to try. 2. Level of CoverageTo determine which product is right for your client, ask if they are looking for a more natural, sheer look or a more medium-to-full coverage look. You can also ask clients if they currently use a primer and introduce SkinPerfect Primer SPF30 while communicating that it helps increase the luminosity of skin, helps smooths the appearance of fine lines, and helps boost the wear and longevity of make-up while providing additional Broad Spectrum protection. SkinPerfect Primer SPF30 is the perfect companion to both Sheer Tint SPF20 and Cover Tint SPF20. 3. Find the Right ShadeOnce you’ve determined the level of coverage, invite your clients to apply the products to their skin to determine the right shade. The color should blend naturally with, not change, the color of skin. Invite clients to step outside into natural light with a mirror to confirm that the shade blends naturally with their skin tone.

application tips for a flawless finish

1. Start, with Clean, Hydrated, Protected Skin

Healthy skin will enhance the application and look of make-up. To help clients prep their skin and create a healthy base for make-up application, prescribe PreCleanse along with a Dermalogica Cleanser, Toner, Moisturizer and Daylight Defense. For clients who require extra hydration and defense around the eyes, prescribe an Eye Treatment based upon the client’s skin condition, as determined by your Face Mapping® skin analysis.

2. Application

Both products should be applied over the client’s prescribed Dermalogica Moisturizer and, if preferred, SkinPerfect Primer SPF30. Apply SkinPerfect Primer SPF30 with fingertips, or with a damp sponge to help even out skin tone, and increase luminosity and make-up longevity. Whether using Sheer Tint SPF20 for a light wash of color or Cover Tint SPF20 for more coverage, dot onto cheeks, chin, forehead and nose. Blend evenly with fingertips in light, outward strokes over face and under the jawline to the top of the neck. For smoother, slightly lighter coverage from both products, apply and blend over the skin with the dampened sponge applicator.

3. Proper Removal

Perform the Dermalogica Double Cleanse that begins with PreCleanse and follows with your client’s prescribed Dermalogica Cleanser to ensure complete removal of Daylight Defense and make-up. Follow with the prescribed Dermalogica Toner, Targeted Treatment, Eye Treatment and Moisturizer.

Q. What is difference between Sheer Tint SPF20 and Cover Tint SPF20?A. Sheer Tint SPF20 delivers a sheer, light wash of color with an intense hydrating benefit. Cover Tint SPF20 delivers medium to full coverage that is more in line with what clients expect from a foundation.

Q. Can I apply these products over SkinPerfect Primer SPF30?A. Yes, both products can be worn over SkinPerfect Primer SPF30. The prescribed Dermalogica Moisturizer should be applied before SkinPerfect Primer SPF30.

Q. Should a moisturizer be applied before applying Sheer Tint SPF20 and Cover Tint SPF20?A. We recommend applying the prescribed Dermalogica Moisturizer before applying Sheer Tint SPF20 or Cover Tint SPF20. However, we highly recommend performing Face Mapping® skin analysis on each client to determine the moisturizer that is right for their skin condition.

Q. Can I wear Sheer Tint SPF20 and Cover Tint SPF20 at night?A. Yes, both products can be worn day and night as part of a cosmetic/make-up regimen.

Q. How do Sheer Tint SPF20 and Cover Tint SPF20 compare to “BB creams”? A. BB Creams (also known as Blemish Balms or Beauty Balms) are cosmetic creams, often tinted, that provide coverage and minimize the appearance of skin issues. Most BB Creams can be worn alone or as a make-up base, yet are more make-up than skin care, and can contain comedogenic ingredients that can intensify skin issues. Both Sheer Tint SPF20 and Cover Tint SPF20 deliver a flawless finish, skin health benefits and are completely non-comedogenic.
