Annual Report of Student Development Cell

For the academic year 2018-19 we have got the permission for four schemes from Board of

Student Development, Savitribai Phule Pune University.

1) Earn & Learn scheme.

2) Nirbhay Kanya abhiyaan

3) Disaster Management Workshop

4) Other scheme- Industrial Automation & Fluid Machinery - Workshop

All these activities we have conducted enthusiastically & we have got tremendous response from

the students of Science Colleges and Engineering Colleges around us.

The details are as follows.

1) Earn & Learn scheme

Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Earn & Learn scheme is started from the academic year 2011-12. The

total no. students selected were 15. 37 students were selected according to the guideline given

by Board of Student Development Savitribai Phule Pune University for this academic year

2018-19.

The needy students selected based on their, honest & sincere. This scheme is stared

from 3rd Aug.2018 and ends on 28th Feb 2019.All students were selected by proper interview in

front of interview committee consisting of Dept. HOD, SDO and by the principal. Our aim of

implementing this scheme is to support needy students.

All the students were working in their prescribed area as per their interest and our need. Time of

work is allotted according time availability from their daily academic work. For students we have given

one hour daily. I am happy to say that all students were working sincerely at their work area for more

time than prescribed. Every student had maintained notebook of their daily work and were taking

signature of concern in charge of their work area.

Apart from this all students of this scheme are worked in different college program

E.g. 1. Annual social gathering – Kalavishkar 2019.

2. College level Sports Programme – Ashvamegh 2019

3) Celebrated Palkhi sohala 0n 15.07.2018

The SDO cell of SBPCOE Indapur, organized refreshment like Pharsan, Chiwada made by

college, Banana etc. to Tukaram Maharaj Phaklhi, Warkari at Indapur near to ITI Indapur dated

on 16.07.2018. Also did the Swacchata and spread message about use of toilets & bathrooms to

Warkari on 15.07.2018 during Palkhi Sohala at Nimgaon Ketki Tal-Indapur.

The SDO cell of SBPCOE Indapur, organized Swachhata Hi Seva on the occasion of 150th Birthday of

Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti at Kalashi Tal- Indapur. In this activity Swacchata Rally, Swacchata

campaigning, Clean Street, Drain And Back Allay, Swacchata oath, street play regarding Swacchata,

door to door visit, Gramsabha was done by SDO & NSS volunteers. Also during this Kalashi Sarpanch

Mr. Kare and Gramsevak Mr. Patil bhausaheb and all villagers were present and supported for all

activities dated on 25.09.2018.

6) International Environment Day 25.09.2018

The SDO cell of SBPCOE Indapur celebrated “International Environmental Day” intitiative on

25th September 2018 at SBPCOE Campus.The theme of event is “Beat the Plastic Pollution”.

Principal Dr. P. D. Nemade expressed their views on “The need of Plastic Free Sociery”.Prof.

Paval K.L. (SDO) explained the “Beat Plastic Pollution” to the students. Plastic ban posters are

displayed by students.

8) Vachan Prerana Divas on 15.10.2018

15 Jan 2019. All students of SBPCOE Participated in this event. Various activities like, speech, debate,

hastakshar, quiz, essay writing competitions were organized. Dr. P.D Nemade gives the interview about

celebration of this event which is made available on youtube, facebook. Also students visited Bhilar

Village which is 1st book village in India.

12) Two Days workshop on Nirbhay kanya Abhiyaan” on 28th Jan & 30th Jan 2019.

on 28th & 30th Jan 2019. Prof. Gatkul from I college Indapur addressed to the girls on “Mentally

Independence, Self Security Training & Women Protection Acts” on 28th Jan 2019. Self Defense

training is conducted by Judo karate Sport Academy Palasdeo. Advocate Mrs.Sneha Bhapkar

from baramati addressed the students regarding “Stri Surksha Kayda”on 30th Jan 2019. Total

185 girls participated in this event.

13) Two days workshop on Industrial Automation & Fluid Machinery, 01 feb & 02 feb 2019

Two days Workshop on “Industrial Automation & Fluid Machinery” sponsored by BSD SPPU,

Pune was arranged on 01-02 Feb 2019. Mr.Ramesh Wakchaure delivered Lecture Industrial

Automation and its Role, scope and challenges in day today life. He also give practical example

of Automations used in Industries .Dr.Suhas Gadekar give demonstration of Fluid Machineries

and explained its circuitries to student. Students and staff of SBPCOE and other colleges take

the benefit of the workshop.

14) Celebrated “Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din ” on 27.02.2019.

Mr. Gaikwad D.T. Inagurated the program Dr.P D Nemade inaugurated wall magazine

On occasion of “Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din” we organize group song activity of Marathi

Abhimaan geet “Labhle amhas bhagya” in college on 27.02.2019. Dr.P D Nemade and all

HODS inaugurated wall magazine of Marathi bhasha gaurav.

15. Disaster management Workshop 0n 18th & 19th March 2019.

NDRF, Pune Team along with participants NDRF Team giving Demonstration of NSSP

SDO Cell of S.B. Patil college of Engineering organized two days workshop on “Disaster Management

& planning” on 18th & 19th March 2019. This workshop is conducted by NDRF, Pune team. They have

guided & demonstrated on National School Security Program (NSSP). 150 students participated in this

workshop. All students of college Earn & learn & NSS along with teachers participated in this

workshop.

All the students working in this scheme are very happy as they are getting some financial assistance

during the study and technical knowledge. For some of the students this is new experience they are

enjoying during the work. All students opinion is that, this scheme should continued in forthcoming

years so that students who really need some assistance can be benefitted from this scheme. All students

are thankful to Savitribai Phule Pune University for nice scheme and also management and principal

for implementing it in our college.

While working as a SDO I have got good experience from these students. Also I have to increase the

scope of work. I am thankful to Board of student’s Development, Savitribai Phule Pune University for

showing trust on me.
