Pacific Grove: Victim wired money toSpain, believing it was going to a family mem-ber in need. Victim later discovered the claimswere fraudulent. No suspect information.

Pacific Grove: Dispatched to a medicalwhere a female had fallen down and was dis-oriented in the middle of the street. Uponarrival, spoke with a witness who said thefemale stumbled and fell in the middle of theroadway. Attempted to speak to the victim,but she seemed very confused to what wasgoing on. Ambulance and fire arrived. Aftermedic spoke to the victim, she was found tobe intoxicated. She asked to be taken toCHOMP for self committal.

Carmel Valley: Victim reported her check-book was missing and being used to cash vari-ous checks.

Carmel area: A citizen found a set of keyson Rotunda Drive and turned them over to thesheriff’s office.

Carmel area: Dispatch announced a BOLfor a possible drunk driver. Deputy stopped thevehicle at Highway 1 and Rio Road and

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Vehicle stopped onCamino del Monte for a CVC violation, and asearch of the vehicle located two open alco-holic beverage containers and two Percocet.The 26-year-old suspect was cited.

Pacific Grove: Dispatched to a possiblevehicle burglary on Syida. Upon arrival, spokewith the owner, who said the side window ofthe truck was shattered. Unknown when it hap-pened.

Pacific Grove: A 34-year-old male WoodStreet resident was arrested for spousal abuse,

Pebble Beach: Woman’s purse was takenfrom her unlocked car on Oxen Trail. The pursewas later recovered but was missing cash andchecks.

Carmel area: Woman reported someonestole her purse from her locker at her place ofemployment at the Crossroads.

Pebble Beach: Deputies placed a W&I

5150 hold on a female who called 911 andreported she was feeling suicidal.

Carmel area: Deputies detained a femalewho stole items from a convenience store atPeter Pan Drive and Highway 1. The owner ofthe store did not wish to seek prosecution.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11

Carmel-by-the-Sea: A 20-year-old malesuspect was arrested on San Carlos Street forDUI alcohol/drugs.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Fire engine and ambu-lance dispatched to Guadalupe for a female inher 80s who was unresponsive and in cardiacarrest. Crew assisted with full ALS proceduresand loading patient. Patient transported toCHOMP by ambulance.

Pacific Grove: Female reported her pursewas stolen while at church. No suspect infor-mation.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Fire engine dis-patched to a restaurant on Mission betweenOcean and Seventh for a small sewage leak. Onscene, crew found a small gray-water leak fromthe restaurant, in which approximately 20 gal-lons of gray water had run along the curbingand into the storm drain. Stoppage clearedwhile on scene and county health notified. Perphone contact with county health, no furthermitigation actions necessary.

Pacific Grove: Sighting of a mountain lionreported. Caller stated he heard an unknownnoise outside of his Crocker Avenue residencein the early morning hours. He stated he lookedout the front door of his residence and observeda mountain lion standing approximately 20 feetfrom the house. He took photos of a paw printin his yard the following morning.

Pacific Grove: Victim reported anunknown subject threw eggs at her vehicle.

Carmel Valley: At Carmel Valley Road atValley Greens Drive, male contacted walkingon the shoulder of the roadway. He was intoxi-cated, unable to care for himself and was takeninto custody.

Pebble Beach: At 17 Mile Drive and

Holman Highway, driver stopped for vehiclecode violation displayed objective signs ofbeing under the influence of alcohol. He wassubsequently evaluated and arrested for DUI.

Big Sur: At Riverside Campgrounds, a sus-pect refused to leave the campground whenasked by staff. Subject left when sheriff ’sdeputies arrived. Business did not want prose-cution.

Big Sur: Suspect broke into an inn and stole$1,000 worth of wine and liquor.

Carmel Valley: At Carmel Valley Road andCountry Club Drive, a citizen found a driver’slicense and a credit card on the side of the road.

Carmel Valley: Female at mid-valleyreported her husband was intoxicated and hadinjured his head due to a fall. Husband wastransported to CHOMP for medical evaluation.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Report of propertydamage to the top right portion of a vehiclehood surface from a falling pine cone.

Carmel-by-the-Sea: Person reported find-ing a helmet left on an electrical box in the areaof Dolores and Sixth. Person did not want toclaim the said property and brought it to thestation for safekeeping pending owner notifica-tion. The helmet had no identifying marks lead-ing to the owner of the property. The helmetwill be placed in safekeeping for processingand followup.

Big Sur: Male reported littering (severalitems) at the entrance to his driveway.

Carmel Valley: On Via Carmelita, a malewished to report his ex-wife was not in compli-ance with a child custody order. The incidentwas forwarded to the D.A.’s office for reviewand for charges to filed.

Carmel area: An unusable amount of mar-ijuana was located in a juvenile student’s vehi-cle while at Carmel High School. He and hisbrother were contacted, admonished andreleased to back to the school. The schoolenrolled the two students into a drug class andrandom drug testing. This case was forwardedto the juvenile probation department for review.

Big Sur: Victim reported her locked vehi-cle was broken into while she was hiking. Lossestimated at $1,938.
