• TxDOT and City completed walk-through on the

signals and punch list was created and returned to

TxDOT

• TxDOT and the contractor are preparing to

schedule installation of the NazTec controllers in

the signals on this project

• CDM Smith will program new controllers at the

Traffic Operations Center for installation in mid

September

• Signals are being integrated into the ITS project

Cullen Parkway – Phase I

• Paving of two lanes is now complete from the tie-

in north of McHard Road to the Beltway except

one section at the north end

• Final pavement section will be poured the week of

August 27th

• All intersections on the west side are now in

• Bridge deck, rail and approaches are now

completed on west side of project

• Grading of right-of-way is now largely complete

on west side, sidewalks and sound walls complete

• Completed construction

• Completed Substantial Completion and CenterPoint inspection

• No evident work on punch list – paver band repair grading for drainage near Cowart’s Creek

• Water barriers and barrels at the intersection were removed

• Medians mowed per one year scheduled maintenance requirement

• Met with Contractor to discuss intersection completion, including installation of stop bar

• Water and irrigation meters transferred out of contractor account to City’s

• Parks Department walk through with subcontractor before assuming maintenance responsibility

all outstanding issues

• Contractor performing corrective work and should

be complete in two weeks, weather permitting

• Contractor agreed to extend pipe for 10 driveways to

prevent soil erosion under pavement and to regrade

swales and roadside ditches to attain positive

drainage

• Broadway/Main Street intersections replacement continues – Final segment of the Broadway/Main Street intersection

should be completed in mid September

• Paving work – Work will now begin to focus on the area north of FM 518

and south of Orange Street – The intersection was poured back Saturday, August 25th

and opened for school traffic early Monday morning – E. Plum intersection will be closed end of September for

reconstruction, requiring approximately 10 days to complete

• Bridge work continuing • Drainage

– Contractor preparing to begin work on the storm trunk lines along the east side of the project

• 20 Right of Entries not granted and Engineer reviewing locations to determine if geotechnical testing can work around them

• Hydraulic analysis complete and indicates the road will need to be raised approximately 3 feet above natural ground which would affect ROW width

• Engineer reviewing analysis to see if road can be lower to avoid cost of fill and ROW
