JOB TITLE: Senior Business Development Analyst JOB DESCRIPTION: Lead market research and analysis activities--in order to identify and select international partners and target markets for American Liquid Packaging Services, Inc. (ALPS), a U.S.-based bottled water company with operations in 5 continents. Purposes are to (1) seek opportunities for investing in and starting up companies involved in the distribution of 5-gallon bottled water; as well as to (2) seek customers for turnkey operations services, plastic resin (for water bottles), and bottling plant equipment. RESEARCH AND ANALYSES FOR INTERNATIONAL MARKETS: Comparative and statistical review of bottled water sales activity (overall volume, distribution within geographic area, gross revenues, and etc.) in international markets. Estimate relative demand and price elasticities for turnkey services and supplies across target markets. Gather data to assist in designing price-and-feature differentiated product and service packages to capture maximum customer base and maximize revenue. Competitive analyses of bottling turnkey consultants and suppliers (e.g., competitive offerings, supply capability, and etc.), and review of barriers to entry. Credit analyses and reporting of prospective customers. Comparative review and analyses of government policies and laws governing start-ups, venture funding, business creation (e.g., Availability of and access to funding, ease of business registration, and etc.). Perform Real-estate sourcing and feasibility studies of locations to create and set up bottling plants and related facilities (Cost/ Benefit and profitability analysis, etc.). RESEARCH AND ANALYSES IN SEEKING INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS: Credit analyses and reporting, and asset appraisal of prospective international business partners. Review of partners’ start-up business plans (Market potential, scalability, and basic financial modeling/profitability analysis.).
