PARISH MISSION STATEMENT

“Saint Ladislaus Parish is a Roman Catholic Christian

community which has preserved our heritage and culture

since 1907. As we proceed into the future, we will strive to

reach out and welcome our neighbors to become a part of

our parish community through worship and spiritual

support.”

SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE

Arrangements should be made at least 6 months in advance.

Couples must schedule an appointment with the pastor prior

to scheduling a wedding. All couples are required to attend

a Diocesan Marriage Preparation Course.

SACRAMENT OF PENANCE

Saturday afternoon from 2:30 to 3:30 pm or by appointment

in the Church office.

PASTORAL CARE OF THE SICK

Contact the rectory if you know a parishioner who is in the

hospital, nursing home or is homebound and would like to

receive communion and/or a visit from a priest. Due to new

regulations procedures, patient information is strictly

regulated.

NEW REGISTRATIONS

You can register by calling the rectory and coming in to fill

out the Census Card. You must provide copies of your

most recent Sacrament certificates (Baptism,

Communion, etc) for each member of the family.

The next scheduled day for Baptisms is December 22,

2019 at 1:45 pm. The pre-baptismal class will be held

on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 5:30 pm in the

Church Basement. Please call the office for

YOUTH CHOIR If you are 8+ years old, and God has given you

the desire to sing or the ability to play an

instrument, please consider sharing that gift

with your parish family! There are no auditions.

We only ask that you volunteer to share your gifts

with us! If you are interested, please come up to

the Choir loft after the 10am Mass. The choir is

always looking for new members.

YOUTH GROUP Remember the youth group meets on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm in the Church

basement. It is open to young people in 8th through 12th grade. New members are always

welcome!

SPIRITUAL RETREAT IN DECEMBER

The Parish will be having a RETREAT on Saturday, December 14th, led by the Spanish prayer groups. It will

begin promptly at 8am and will end at 3:00pm, followed by the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Light refreshments will be

offered.

FEAST OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE

SUNDAY, DEC. 8TH—11:30am Procession starting at 119 South Main Street to St. Ladislaus. Please join us in prayer to honor our blessed Lady of Guadalupe., followed by the Holy Mass in Spanish. We also invite everyone to the Vigil Service known as “Las Mañanitas” on Wednesday, December 11th from 9:00pm to 1:00 am. To conclude, we will celebrate a Solemn Mass on Thursday, December 12th at 7:00pm.

ALTAR FLOWER OFFERINGS

Please note that as of this month, your flower offerings will be used for our Altar Flowers

only. Your intentions will be placed on the Altar beside the flower vases. Please call the office to

schedule your dates for 2020.

Sacrament OF

MATRIMONY

The process must be started at least six (6) months before the marriage. Couples must

request an appointment with the Priest before scheduling their wedding. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO RECEIVE THIS SACRAMENT AT OUR PARISH, PLEASE SECURE YOUR APPOINTMENT WITH THE PRIEST AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Couples are required to attend a marriage preparation course, for which they must register directly with the Diocese of Bridgeport. PRAYER GROUP ON FRIDAYS

Everyone who is interested in joining a young adults group is welcome to come on Fridays at

8:00 pm to the basement of the Church. There is prayer; charismatic music and discussion on

important matters of the spiritual and cultural live.

We will be having a Christmas Mass Preparation meeting

for all Altar Servers on Saturday, December 15th at 5pm in

Church Saturday, December 21st 5pm—6pm in the Church

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Due to the holiday season, there will be NO

RELIGIOUS ED CLASSES on the

Classes will resume and return to normal
