Radiation Protection Prize

The Vereinigung Deutscher Strahlenschutzarzte E.V. and the Hanns-Langendorff-Stiftung will award, on the occasion of the 28th Annual Meeting of theVereinigung Deutscher Strahlenschutzarzte in 1987 (12-13 June, Munchen), theHANNS-LANGENDORFF-PREIS for progress in radiation protection . Theprize of DM 10000, is to be awarded to young scientists who have accomplishedoutstanding work in the field of MEDICAL RADIATION PROTECTION . Theprize can be divided .

The deadline date for the submission of papers is 1 February 1987 . Applicationsshould be addressed to : Professor Dr W. Second European Congress of Photobiology

The congress will deal with fundamental and applied aspects of photobiology .Sessions will be organized on the following topics: spectroscopy and photochemistryof biological systems ; photophysical and multiphoton processes in biology ; ultra-violet and visible radiation effects ; DNA repair; photosensitization ; environmentalphotobiology; photocarcinogenesis ; chronobiology; bioluminescence; photo-morphogenesis; photoreception ; photosynthesis ; vision ; photomedicine, includingphotoimmunology, photoprotection, phototherapy and photochemotherapy ; opticaldosimetry in vivo ; and phototechnology .

The official language of the conference will be English . The programme willinclude plenary lectures and short contributions . Symposia on specific topics willalso be organized .
