Simply Measured

Simply Measured originally built out its entire data storage platform on MongoDB. Consistency was an issue, and Sharding for each customer’s data source didn’t work well as the size of data for a customer grew. It became clear that it was time to look at other technologies, and we ultimately chose HBase to rebuild our primary datastore. This talk will cover why we chose HBase, how we integrated HBase with the least amount of downtime and impact to our customers, the financial costs of this migration, and where we're going in the future with it.

Robert Roland, Lead Software Engineer, Simply Measured@robdaemon

SpaceCurve

SpaceCurve lives to suss out massive amounts of location, social, sensor, and timeline data. Andrew's talk will dive into how SpaceCurve's new big data platform effortlessly removes the barriers to real-time analysis of enormous, multi- dimensional datasets inherent in current technologies.

J. Andrew Rogers, Founder & CTO, SpaceCurve@jandrewrogers

Idea for a talk?

In general, we're looking for a deep technical talk with implementation details about a big system that's production-grade :)
