Seasonal AnticipationWinter is a beautiful time of year, especially at the lake cabin in Wisconsin. If you are from the region you understand that some years winter seems to stay longer than it’s welcome & often tests the patients of those whom reside in the Midwest region. A blanket of white snow disguises any imperfections & establishes beauty along the landscape.The beauty of winter only lasts as long as our patience can handle the anticipation of spring.

A dock frame is residing in its winter storage location beside the lake.All Winter long, the anticipation of Summer lies directly in our sights.

Ice fishing homes are pulled from the lake & stored away.Even “The Hole” is anticipating an early spring this year & is stowed away until next winter.

The lake front remedies lay buried underneath the winter snow.Excitement soars as we are reminded of spring responsibilities, and warm weather lake activities.

Every lake home has a secure refuge.A place to safely store our memories until it’s time to keep creating.

A silent ambiance is present.The birds will be here soon, the familiar chirping should cure my winter blues in the next few weeks.

Spring melting will reveal the beautiful life that flourishes around the home.

Shortly life will return to the landscape, and to this home, and to my home.
