This Magazine has no interesting or eye catching photos or text.

Its a very boring colour and the random yellow texts don’t suit the blue background.

They could of produced a better quality photo for the leaflet or magazine because this one is very over exposed and dull coloured and doesn't suit the font and background colour.

Magazine 1 : Bad

Too much space given around the magazine and there could be more writing. They could also make the title bigger and change the font.

Magazine 2 : Good

This magazine is good because its eye catching to the audience and very bold titles and writing.

I think the font for the title is good because its big and bold and easy to read and catches the eye easily.

I believe it is also good to have kickers on bother right and left sides of the magazine because it evens it out. And the main image is right in the centre of the magazine. This is good because you want to see the photo and not so many kickers over lapping is as well.

School Magazine Progress.....

I started of with my landscape image which I had to be made into a portrait image so I had to cut the image down.

So I got the main parts of the image in the crop.

I chose a different font to my main title as it would just clash and would look quite like a magazine.

I took this image will a student in surrounded by her work, book and pens to make it look like she was un organised with all her work. I made the model/student look up as i took it from a high angle shot and then made her have a confused look on her face to look like she is stressed out extra.

I then added the Main title in the font “impact label” I chose the colour because it suits the colour of the main background images as well.

I then duplicated the layer and changed the colour of the font to the same colour of the models top. I moved the top layer slightly to the right so the text look like it has a 3D effect and that it stands out more and it is more easier to read.

I did the same process for the other kicker titles and also for the writing underneath because it was hard to read before.

My finished magazine which I added a price winning at the top of the magazine.

I stuck to the colour of the font of the main title and the kickers because I thought it best suited my background image.

Positive and Improvement.. • Positive comments:• The main title is easy to read, and it stands out to the reader,

so they can identify easily what the name of the magazine is called.

• The main image goes well with the kicker, as it shows that the person is very stressed with a load of work surrounding her, and as the kicker is bold it would attract the reader, so that they can make the relation.

• Sections for improvement:• The explanatory text is quite hard to read from a distance, as

the colour of the text blends in with the picture for the front cover.

I improved my writing from the improvements that I got given and I also added in my competition and issue of the magazine at the top. The colour of the text of the magazine is the same throughout the kickers and the explanatory.
