EVANS FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP Awarded to a new applicant participating in sport at an elite level (state or national level) wishing to pursue their sporting goals at the same time as beginning their tertiary education.

LUCY MORRIS STEVENS SCHOLARSHIP Awarded to a new applicant or existing College resident studying Drama/Theatre/Performance or English at UQ in second year or above (including postgraduate students).

PIPING SCHOLARSHIP Created in conjunction with The Society of St Andrew of Scotland (Queensland) Limited and awarded to a new applicant or existing College resident who has been accepted into any discipline at UQ and shows sound academic ability and superior talent as a piper.

TRAVELLING SCHOLARSHIP Created in conjunction with The Society of St Andrew of Scotland (Queensland) Limited and awarded to a new applicant or existing College resident who has been accepted into any discipline at UQ who shows sound academic ability and who intends to study abroad, in any discipline, at either The University of Edinburgh or The University of Glasgow.

GLASGOW–EMMANUEL RESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP Awarded to a student from The University of Glasgow (undergraduate or postgraduate) who shows sound academic ability and who has been accepted into any discipline at UQ as part of a study abroad program.

THE ALASTAIR MACLEOD CIVIL ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP AT EMMANUEL COLLEGE Awarded to an existing College resident in second year or above who is achieving good results and has a desire to make a positive contribution to the life of the College and community at large.

DOUG LAWRIE DRUMMING SCHOLARSHIP Awarded to a new applicant or existing College resident who has been accepted into any discipline at UQ who shows sound academic ability and superior talent as a pipe band drummer.

MARK MCKAY SCHOLARSHIP Awarded to an existing College resident studying law at UQ.

JM MCKAY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP Awarded to an existing College resident who has contributed to the scholastic, sporting and social life of the College.

RURAL SCHOLARSHIP Awarded to a new applicant or existing College resident from a rural or remote community.

GRAHAM THOMSON SCHOLARSHIP Awarded to a Brisbane Boys’ College student who is a new applicant or a former Brisbane Boys’ College student who is an existing College resident.

BURSARY These are awarded on the basis of need. The College requires evidence of financial hardship.

General statement in support of your application including, for example, community service, cultural and sporting achievements.

Copy of UQ academic transcript and evidence of UQ prizes, Dean’s List etc, as appropriate.

Your year and cumulative GPA (estimated for first year students).

A statement (500–700 words) explaining your interest in your field of study and how you will apply your degree in the future.

College life statement (500–700 words) explaining what living at Emmanuel College would mean/means to you and why you are seeking to continue with your College membership (if applicable).

Full CV.

Two personal references.

Details of any other scholarships held. If you are applying for a bursary: Please also supply documentation to verify your application, eg, statements of family income and expenditure, most recent tax assessments for both parents. This information will be kept strictly confidential.
