Double click the “HP Scanning Icon”.

This is what you should see.

Place picture on scanner face down, toward the arrow.

Click “Scan Picture”.

The scanner gives you a preview.

If your picture is sideways or upside down, you can use the arrows on the left to adjust it.

You can move the margins in or out. Click and drag the dashed line.

Auto Correct Photo FeaturesThese features can help restore an old or damaged photo.

ResizeYou can adjust size according to inches, centimeters, points, or pixels.

Color Adjustment

Changing the ResolutionResolution affects quality, but also affects the size of your file. Higher resolution equals a larger file size.

When done, choose accept…

This is what you should see.

If you want to scan more items, choose Yes.Then just repeat the process. (If not, choose No.)

Locate your fileOn the Tech Center computers, it will save to the “My Scans” folder on the E drive.

Rename your file (optional)Choose Rename from the File menu, and type a new name.

Here you can see the newly re-named file.

Print your pictureSelect your picture and choose print from the file menu.

Photo Printing WizardThis comes up automatically.

Choose your printerWe will use the HP Photosmart C3100.

Select “Printing Preferences”This will let us tell the computer we’re using photo paper.

Choose “General Everyday Printing”

On the Features tab, select your paper type.

We will use glossy photo paper.Choose HP Premium Plus from the list.

Choose how large to print your pictureKeep in mind that some sizes will require your picture to be cropped. Look at the preview to see how your picture will print.

Adjusting number of pictures per sheet Change the number in the box to reflect how many of your selected size can fit on one sheet of paper. This is indicated by the icons.

Finished!You should have one or more reprints of your scanned picture.
