Kiva’s mission is to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty.

What is Kiva?

How does Kiva work?

A Lender

chooses a

Borrower

and makes a

loan.

Kiva transfers

the loan to a

local Field

Partner.

As the

borrower

repays the

loan, the

Field Partner

transfers

funds back to

Kiva, who

alerts the

Lender.

Kiva

repays the

loan to the

Lender on

a monthly

basis.
