INTRODUCTIONOur blog, savvy chic, discusses issues that we think the modern young women should be informed about. We wanted to mix subjects such as fashion, music, and movies with current issues. Hence, our blog title, savvy chic, was chosen to represent the young women that would be interested in reading our blog. Our tagline also represents what we are about; be chic and intelligent, for that never goes out of style.

PURPOSEThis blog was an assignment given to

us in our Cyber Journalism Class. We were told to work in pairs and to develop a blog about anything we wished. We found out quickly that the activity of having a blog is a really great outlet for us to practice our writing and journalism skills for the future.

DIVISION OF WORKBecause our blog has four different

themes, we thought it best if we divided the work into two. Maria is in charge of fashion while Risca is in charge of current issues. As of music and movies both of us would pitch in. We try to post an article each day and we take turns on who would post for that day. For music and movies, those articles would be posted on the weekends only.

FASHION:

For fashion we wrote about our favorite style stars, hottest trends in beauty and fashion, and also about our favorite fashion lines.

MOVIES/TV

For the movie and tv section we mainly focus on writing about what new movies to look out for or television shows that we are interested in watching at the moment and what our viewers can check out as well.

MUSIC

We want to inform our viewers about the latest news here and there, little or big, about what’s happening in the world of music. Ranging from new album releases to information about concerts in Indonesia.

CURRENT ISSUES

We want to inform our readers about the things that are currently happening in the world today. We feel it is very important to be knowledgeable about the world we live in, not just about our own country, but other countries as well.

DISTRIBUTIONFor distribution we used 3 channels of media:Facebook: we gave friends of ours personal messages

about our blog, posted blog related news on our facebook status, as well as wrote on people’s walls about our blog.

Twitter: Every time we wrote a new article, we would automatically tweet about it in order for people to read it.

Black Berry Messenger: We would broadcast messages about our blog and we would tell people to read our blog through out BBM statuses.

Lastly we would give comments on other peoples blog and ask them to visit our blog.

Traffic Sources Overview: This pie chart illustrates where our visitors came to know about our blog. Referring sites pertains to sites such as facebook and twitter, search engines pertains to sites such as Google or askjeeves, and direct traffic pertains to those who have directly opened our blog.

Content Overview: This refers to which articles have been rea-qd the most showing how many page views its gotten as well as the percent of page views.
