Save Orangutans

4th grade MG Project

Trees are being cut down where orangutans live.

Palm oil trees make palm oil. Palm oil is in Pringles, M&M’s, Twizzlers, gum, Cheetos, ice

cream, soap, and toothpaste.

People want more palm oil but to get more they’re cutting down other types of trees

You might know that orangutans are endangered but because trees are being cut

down, they lose homes everyday.

You might want to stop buying things that get their palm oil from people who are destroying

forests. We think that’s not the best thing to do.

There is a group for companies that want to do the right thing. They can join the R.S.P.O. When these companies

join they get a special label that looks like this:

This picture means that they get their palm oil from the companies that don’t cut down

trees.
