Zeus Altar

• The Zeus Altar was located in Pergamum, Turkey. It was one of the main center of Zeus worship throughout the Mediterranean.

• Excavation and its move started in 1878 to Germany. It was rebuild and now stand in the Pergamum Museum in Berlin.

• The Zeppelin Tribune was modeled on the Zeus Altar and used by Hitler in Nurnberg, Germany for his rallies.

• After the end of World War II, the Soviets took the Altar to Leningrad in 1948. The Altar was later returned in 1958.
