Concept of Enhancement:

SAP uses enhancement packages to speed up the delivery of new functions. With SAP enhancement packages, you can install and activate new functions depending on your business needs without having to perform a system upgrade. You can selectively implement the new functions and activate the software upon business demands and business driven requirements.

Implementation of SAP EHP5:

There are three different scenarios to implement an enhancement package:

Installation of an enhancement package on an existing SAP system New installation of an SAP system including an enhancement package Upgrade of an SAP system including an enhancement package

The installation process of enhancement packages consists of two different steps: Technical installation of an enhancement package Activation of new functions using the switch framework technology.

Some of my Project Experience Skill set as per EHP5:-

I have strong SAP Business Analysis Skill set e.g. preparation of Business Case, converting Business cases into formidable business requirement and converting business requirements into business Process and discuss these business processes to concerned business process owner and also conducting the impact & Evaluation Analysis as per business requirements and business cases and then proposed and prepared different types of documents .

Involve on New GL Implementation e.g. Conduct & present workshop to different Business Process group owner about the New GL Functionality and compared the ASIS SAP Blueprint and prepared TO-BE Blue Print document to the concerned Business Process Owner. Conduct Impact Analysis on New GL implementation vs. Old GL functionality only.

Prepared and conduct Business Analysis on Authorization and security profile due to Adding/updating of new functionality and also present workshop highlighting the impact of new business process of changed of authorization.

Go through SAP Release notes in detail and present the concept of Release Notes to concerned Department. With SAP EHP5 it’s now mandatory to implement SAP Solution Manager (the reason is to track all your

business requirement as per ASAP methodology).

Automated import of master data into a receiving system (profit center, cost center, company) previously, users have to build custom interfaces to import the data.

Supports maintenance of organizational units, such as group companies, cost centers, profit centers, and related hierarchies within SAP Master Data Governance to help govern your financials.

Supports maintenance of cost elements and related hierarchies within SAP Master Data Governance to help you govern your financials.

Read new G/L totals from archive. Profit Ctr. Reorganization and Segment Reports. Number assignment during asset transfer. Fixed asset accounting: reporting on segments and profit centers. New extractor for promises-to-pay. Master data replication (CRM at ATB Project). Status information of invoice ( SAP have added the new column in the list of open invoices) Template Function for Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions. New Movement Type: Material to Material.
