2016-2017 Board of Directors Chair
Dear Saint Stanislaus Family,
On behalf of the faculty, staff, and board of directors, I am happy to present this Annual Report to you. This report is produced with a two-fold purpose in mind: to account to you for the fundraising and financial operation of the school and to give you a brief snapshot of school activities and growth so that you know that your investment in Saint Stanislaus is a sound one. As it was when I was a student here, the mission of Saint Stanislaus remains focused on forming each student to Gospel values by nurturing his spiritual, academic, social, and physical growth in a place of sanctuary. I am confident that the faculty and staff of Saint Stanislaus is as committed and effective at carrying out the school’s
mission as it was when I was a student here. To this day, I remain deeply grateful for my Saint Stanislaus education and formation, and I remain committed to supporting the efforts of all who work here every day. Since I graduated from Saint Stanislaus, the school has recovered from two devastating hurricanes and has risen to meet countless other challenges. I also see that Saint Stanislaus comes out of each challenge stronger, better, and more prepared for the future. I am also keenly aware that our school’s ability to overcome the challenges of life are made possible by the tireless efforts of the faculty and staff and the generous support of its benefactors. Thanks to the generous contributions from our donors, we continue to work to make and education at Saint Stanislaus accessible and affordable. Each year the school is blessed to welcome so many talented young men who seek an exceptional education as well as years of transformative personal growth under the guidance of the faculty and staff here. To all of you who give of your time, your treasure, your talents, and your passion for Saint Stanislaus, thank you for your continued partnership. I ask you to continue to support our beloved alma mater in the years ahead so that more young men have the lifelong gift of a Saint Stanislaus education.
Sincerely,
William S. App, Jr. ‘61Chairman, Saint Stanislaus Board of Directors

Dear Alumni, Parents and Friends,
“Saint Stanislaus definitely helped me with my work ethic. I had to work harder for the grades I achieved. I always had the feeling that I was accepted.”
“The most important things I take from my experience are the relationships with my classmates and teachers. I felt like there were a lot of people who genuinely cared about me every day, and I definitely think my classmates felt that way, too.”
“I also feel like we got a lot of confidence in ourselves, and we learned to feel comfortable with ourselves and each other. I think that if you feel loved at that level, then it is a personal validation of your self-worth. That is how the relationships with classmates and teachers helped to shape me and my classmates.”
“Going into college, I didn’t think I was prepared, but as I got into classes, I realized I was very well prepared for college.”
These quotes are just a small sampling of what our recent graduates say about how SSC changed their lives. I share this with you because I view your support of Saint Stanislaus as a sacred trust, and I want you to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that your investment in SSC is paying great dividends. I also want you to know that we cannot do what we do without your financial support. As the costs of providing a first class education and formation continue to rise, tuition increases are one of the biggest threats to our future because we know that each increase puts a Saint Stanislaus education out of reach of more families – and often those who need us most. Our mission is to be a place of sanctuary where we form each student as a Man of Character, immersed in Gospel values and nurtured in all aspects of his growth and development. Those who minister here every day, Brothers and lay alike, are as committed as ever to this mission. As I stop to reflect on the past year, I am filled with gratitude for the blessing of being part of Saint Stanislaus and with hope for our future. I am happy to share this Annual Report with you as an insight into Saint Stanislaus, especially for those of you who do not have the privilege of seeing and experiencing what happens here on a daily basis. So on behalf of our students and their families, I offer you humble and sincere thanks. I ask you to continue to support us, and I ask you to encourage others to support us as well. The young men of today, who will become the leaders of our world tomorrow, need you. Sincerely,
Bro. Barry Landry, S.C.President

Advancement overview
It’s all about…..
Thank you. It cannot be said enough. The annual report is our opportunity to thank those who supported Saint Stanislaus this past year whether you gave your time, treasure, or talent. The following pages will not tell the entire story of your impact on Saint Stanislaus. It will summarize your generous support. After 163 years, one thing has never changed – the mission. We remain a Catholic college preparatory high school. The Advancement Team, through your support, had another exceptional year facilitating and securing the financial and human resources necessary for
Saint Stanislaus to continue its mission. The Advancement Team witnessed your generosity through our Benefit Dinner, Golf Outing, Annual Fund, Society of 1854, endowments and scholarship funds. The Advancement Team works very hard to support our school. However, you made this support a reality. With your continued backing, Saint Stanislaus will thrive for future generations. Thank you for supporting the mission and students of Saint Stanislaus.

Financial Assistance and Endowment
Families apply for financial aid by submitting documentation, including income tax information. In addition, families com-plete an application directed to the Office of the President. Saint Stanislaus Hall of Fame Celebrates Men of ServiceSaint Stanislaus inducted into its Hall of Fame Mr. Ronald J. Artigues, SSC Class of 1960, and Brother John Hotstream, S.C., SSC Class of 1955.
The day of celebration took place on the Saint Stanislaus campus and began in the SSC Student Mall, with a Liturgy celebrated by Very Reverend Dennis Carver, SSC Class of 1970, and a member of the SSC Hall of Fame. Artigues and Hotstream family members served as readers and gift-bearers for the Mass, and Father Carver offered a special blessing for the honorees to end this portion of the celebration. The honorees’ families and guests moved from the Student Mall to the College Café for lunch and the induction of Mr. Artigues and Brother John. Highlights of the Induction Ceremony included a welcome, offered by Brother Barry Landry, President of SSC; the Invocation, delivered by Mr. Patrick McGrath, Principal; the Induction, facilitated by Mrs. Susan Estrade, Assistant Principal/Alumni Director; Closing Remarks, shared by Brother Barry Landry; and the Closing Prayer, offered by Brother Bernard Couvillion, S.C., Campus Minister. Current living members of the Saint Stanislaus Hall of Fame were recognized during the ceremony. And, poignant moments of the induction of Mr. Artigues and Brother John included videos of each man that briefly shared a time-line of each one’s life and the multiple ways that each inductee has served his own community, his fellow man, and Saint Stanislaus College. Current Saint Stanislaus parents and students joyfully served the luncheon, and members of the SSC Advancement Team were recognized for their work in organizing the day’s events.
