To whom it may concern: My name is Ryan Taylor and I am a recent graduate of NC State University where I earned my degrees in Nuclear Engineering, with a minor in mathematics, and also completed the pre-medical degree track of programming in over ten languages including VPython, FORTRAN, Java, Matlab, MathCad. As an undergraduate I was fortunate to be a part of the CRISPR project, which is one of the most exciting breakthroughs in biochemistry in recent memory. For two years, I practiced sterile laboratory practices and protocols. Among other awards, our senior design team won first prize in the national American Nuclear Society undergraduate research symposium for our computational analysis of Silicon Carbide as an accident tolerant cladding material. My greatest skills lie in my grasp of technical communication. Many of my peers are so dedicated to their studies, that they have lost all personability. I work diligently to maintain the ability to explain the things I know in a way that can be understood by all. My technical knowledge is diverse and I can speak accurately about things far beyond the scope of my field. I pride myself in this ability and it allows me to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. People get along with me and I am comfortable working on teams, which can be hard to find in candidates with my technical background. In my spare time, I am starting a company, Del Operations, with a friend of mine from the Nuclear Department at NC State. We design devices for plasma manipulation and confinement. Currently, we are finishing up our first prototype, a plasma projectile device and will begin working on a patent for it, and a few of our other designs in the near future. Currently, we are working on a market analysis to figure out the potential worth of our product, as well as deciding what to do with our patents after they are completed. I believe transitioning into the real world will be a lot easier with some engineering guidance and senior level leadership to teach me the ropes in becoming a young professional. In my time at NC State a passion for community development helped me to create the largest student run charity on campus, which raised over $247,000 for Duke Children’s Hospital. My peers consistently put me in executive positions because of my abilities and I have become one of the most decorated leaders in the USA, for my age, because of their belief in my abilities. My talents are unique and I would be a great addition to any professional team. Very Respectfully, Ryan Taylor August 2 nd , 2016

My name is Ryan Taylor and I am a recent graduate of NC State University where I earned my degrees in Nuclear Engineering, with a minor in mathematics, and also completed the pre-medical degree track of programming in over ten languages including VPython, FORTRAN, Java, Matlab, MathCad.
