Rumaila Operating Organisation Selects ISNetworld for

Contractor/Supplier Management ISN Expands International Client Base

LONDON, United Kingdom (8 August 2011) – ISN is pleased to announce the Rumaila Operating Organisation (ROO) has selected ISNetworld to enhance its contractor qualification process for its local Iraqi and overseas suppliers.

ROO is a consortium of companies including BP, PetroChina, the South Oil Company and the Iraq State Oil Marketing Organisation (SOMO) tasked to increase production from the Rumaila oilfield, near Basra in south Iraq. The consortium led by BP aims to nearly triple the Rumaila field’s output, which would make it the world’s second largest producing oilfield. By 2016, production of 2.85 million barrels a day will mean Rumaila will account for 3% of global oil production.
