Rules For Women’s Trouser Length

Please note that different pant lengths suit different shoes. Skinny trousers and slacks might look great with ballet flats but might not be

as stunning with platforms. Those jeans you love to wear with your stack-heeled boots are going to appear

utterly preposterous when you throw them on with flip-flops. When you’re on the hunt for new pants, be sure to bring the shoes you intend

to wear with them into the fitting room. Otherwise, it’s a total waste of time.

Women’s Trouser

When wearing high heels, make sure the entire heel is not visible.

A little should peek out, sure, but if your slacks are revealing everything from lower-ankle downward, it spells down right disaster!

When wearing flats, if your entire foot is showing, your pants are too short.

Flats OR heels, not both. The same pair of pants cannot (except cropped) be worn

with flats or heels. Have a few pair of pants that are tailored to each height.

When wearing heels, the hem should be half an inch about the ground. Standard heels are 3.5 inch, so just take your favorite pair when having your pants hemmed.

With flats it should be just high enough to not rub the floor.

Cropped/Ankle pants. A pant length that does work well with

flats or heels are cropped pants that hit right around the ankle bone.

Ankle pants should have a slim leg and be tapered at the ankle otherwise you will end up with capri pants.

These look great with heels as they create a long leg line as well as adding a hint of skin.

Ankle pants also showcase pretty flats as the pant leg is not covering the shoe.
