Rules for the ToshoCON Anime Art Contest Online 2017:

1. Contestants must be between 12-19 years of age.

2. Entries must be related to anime, manga, Japanese culture, or video games.

3. One entry per teen, per category.

4. Winners will be selected from three categories: 1) scanned image [or photo] of hand drawn art in

black and white or grayscale; 2) scanned image [or photo] of hand drawn art in color; and 3) mixed

media (includes all electronic images, a scan or a photo, of complete cosplay costumes, digital art,

3D art, sculpture, etc.)

5. Only electronic copies of the art will be accepted.

6. Images must be uploaded to the SLCO website in .jpg format cannot exceed 10 MB.

7. Electronic entries must be wholly owned by the entrant. Art must be the original work of the

teen, whether creating a well-known character or their own character in the anime style.

8. Electronic Entries are due by 11:59 pm on June 30 and can be turned in during open hours at any

County Library via the Public Scanner and Computers, barring malfunction.

9. Entries may be judged online in July to determine finalists.

10. Finalist will be judged on the webpage up until August 4 and live at ToshoCon [August 4 all day

and August 5 until 7 pm].

11. Grand prize winners will be announced after 7:00 pm on August 5 at ToshoCON!

12. The County Library will print and mount the winners for a local art tour.

13. Mounted artwork will be returned to the winner only at the artist’s request and must be picked

up before December 31, 2017 from the Libraries Viridian Event Center Information desk.

Ownership of any artwork that is not retrieved by December 31, 2017 reverts to the County

Library and artwork may be discarded.
