PRESS RELEASE 

RSS disowns sending students to Karnataka

 A clarification on the mischievous news item appearing in U Nongsain Hima dated

29th and 30th June 2009 about transporting students from Meghalaya to Karnataka. 

RSS disowns sending students to Karnataka because RSS never run schools, hostels and

colleges anywhere. RSS runs only Shakha (the unit of the organization). Social activities

are carried out by different allied organizations. 

Sending Student to Karnataka is not in our agenda. All the schools run in Karnatakawhere Khasi Jaintia students got admission are not RSS schools. They are run by

different Trust, Mutts, Private agencies and govt. 

It is a fact that Tukaram Shetty the man behind sending students to Karnataka is a former worker of Seva Bharati. But he was expelled since 2005 due to his indiscipline. With his

sympathizers and close friends (like Shri. Puraman Kynjing, Shri. Slington Thabah, Shri.

Bar Khonglam, Shri. Ebren Khongthah, Shri. Salan Pasi etc.), formed “KA LEISYNSHAR CULTURAL SOCIETY”, with its headquarter at Dulong, Jowai, Jaintia

Hills, Meghalaya. RSS has no relation with this newly formed organization and it is not

responsible for any activities run by the same. 

RSS can not take any responsibility of any activities taken by “Lei Synshar Cultural

Society” or any other organization in Meghalaya and activities of Tukaram Shetty inKarnataka. 

The persons (Shri. Sukanto Borman, Shri. Prafulla Chandra Koch and Smt. YolinKharumini) who gave interviews and statement to media in Shillong or in Jowai are not

RSS workers. People may use the name of RSS to get goodwill outside and within the

state but RSS has not authorized anybody to send students to Karnataka.

 I therefore request your esteemed daily and public in general to beware of such people

who use the name of RSS and take advantage in the name of RSS for gaining mileage

and it is our request to your esteemed daily to also publish this re-joinder in a prominentspace only in fitness of things. 

 

RSS never indulges in any anti-social activities nor is in the business of conversions. RSS

is a nationalistic social organization based on strict discipline aiming to make India a

Great Nation.
