TYPICAL INSTALLATIONS

The operation of the K-TEK Rotary Paddle Switch centers around a lowtorque,slowspeed(1RPM)synchronousmotor.Theabsenceofdrymaterialallows themotor to turn the paddle uninterrupted. When the unit sensesthe presence of dry material via the restricted rotation of the paddle, thereversing torqueactuates the internalSPDTswitchesandalarms theunit.Thehysteresismotor continues to run ina restrictedor completely stalledstate without damage or overheating. The subsequent alarm can activatetwo controls, i.e., visual annunciators, start and stop of machinery suchasconveyorbelts, feeders,etc.TheK-TEKRotaryBinLevel Indicatorcanbemountedonthetopofthebinoronthesideofthebintoindicatehigh,intermediateorlowlevel.Flexibleshaftcouplings,extendedshaftsandshaftguardsareavailable toallowforprotectedoperationof therotatingpaddledeviceinalmostanypositionandorientation.
