APPLYING GACOROOF

Another reason people love GacoRoof silicone coating is because it's easy to do yourself. A five-gallon

pail contains enough coating for 250 square feet of roof space. Once it's applied, you'll never have to

coat your roof again.

Here's what you do:

Remove all loose material and debris from your roof.

Pressure wash the roof with alkaline soap.

Wait until the surface is completely dry.

Caulk holes and cracks with silicone caulk and allow it to dry

as per manufacturer's instructions.

Bridge openings in seams, cracks, skylights, drains, scuppers, et cetera with Gaco RoofTape.

Using a power drill and a paint mixer attachment,

stir GacoRoof coating thoroughly for 3-5 minutes. Do not use a paint shaker.

Use a solvent-resistant ¾" or 1" nap roller to apply one gallon of GacoRoof per 100 square feet

of roof. Allow the first coat to dry until it can be walked on

– this will take anywhere from 1 to 12 hours.

Apply the second coat at one gallon per 100 square feet and allow to dry again.
