Everything you need to know . . . Have you ever wondered what your children are in for when they head off to summer camp? Now is your chance to find out! Rock Springs invites you and your family to attend a fun filled adventure at “Rock Springs Family Camp.” Call or mail in the attached form to make your reservation. Space is limited, so register soon!

Cost Per Family The total cost for your stay can be calculated by combining the price of your lodging selection (immediately below) and the cost per person for the number of people in your party. Additional activity costs may apply; see Program Offerings page for details.

Per Person Meal & Program Costs:

Adults (13 and Older) : $70 each Youth (Ages 6 to 12) : $55 each Children Under 6 : FREE

Program Offerings Available at Rock Springs: List subject to change without notice, and availability of certain offerings dependent upon weather conditions, reservations already received by other parties, etc. Certain activities do come with an additional charge; see notes below for details. Swimming Splash around in our huge outdoor swimming pool which includes a water slide, two diving boards, a sun deck, shower house, and snack bar. Horseback Riding Enjoy an authentic trail ride on one of our 30 horses. All riders must wear provided helmets. Children seven and under will be given corral rides. Please bring appropriate riding attire and closed toed shoes. No slip-ons, crocs, or open toed shoes are allowed. Shooting Sports Rifle, Shotgun, Target Archery, 3D Target Archery, Aerial Archery, & Sling Shots Rifle: 50¢ for 5 shots Trap: 50¢ per shot Crafts Variety of offerings available including model rockets, wood burning, sand art, leatherwork, bead craft, basketry, para-cord projects, dream catchers, etc. Average Kit Cost: $3.00 - $5.00 Other Activities: Campfires, Canoeing, Climbing Tower, Geocaching, Mountain Biking, Robotics, and a Wide Assortment of Outdoor Education Programs Free Time During breaks and free time your family can participate in sand volleyball, softball, basketball, hiking, horseshoes, disc golf, and fishing. Families need to bring their own equipment for fishing.

Fun facts about Rock Springs

• Rock Springs 4-H Center was established in 1946 and has been operated by the Kansas 4-H Foundation since 1952.

• A stone wall from an original cabin built in 1857 still stands near the craft center.

• A natural spring supplies all of Rock Springs 4-H Center’s water resources and has never been

known to fail.

• When running at its peak, the spring supplies 1,100 gallons of water per minute and its average temperature year round is 54° Fahrenheit.

• Rock Springs is a year-round facility that hosts over 32,000 visitors annually for camps, retreats,

conferences, weddings, and family reunions.

• Rock Springs can house nearly 900 people at full capacity.
