Riverview is a community that prides itself on wellness. At the Town of Riverview, wellness captures the four pillars of healthy living part of the New Brunswick Wellness Movement. This guide is full of programs and activities designed to help you and your family make healthy living choices all summer. To further our commitment to healthy living, Town Council accepted the feasibility study for a new community wellness centre earlier this year. The report gives direction to Council and staff on the planning and design work needed in order to make this new facility a reality. This project is seven to 10 years away, however
in municipal planning, thats not very long. We are in the process of updating the five- and 10-year capital plans which will include the impact of projects such as the Wellness Centre. I encourage citizens to read the report on our website and share their thoughts on what could be a key part of a healthy and sustainable future for Riverview.
Ann Seamans,Mayor of Riverview
It is my pleasure to once again welcome you to view another amazing Summer Events and Activity Guide. The many cultural and special events, childrens activities and sport programs taking place throughout Riverview are designed to suit all interests, ages and skill levels; from the very young to the mature adult. As the weather gets warmer and you venture out to enjoy our natural beauty by walking Riverfront Park, biking the paved trail on Gunningsville Boulevard, cooling off at the splash pad, planting veggies in the Community Garden, or sharing a picnic lunch with friends and family during a concert at Caseley
Park, we encourage you to always take a moment to ensure you and your family are prepared to have a fun and safe experience.
We are your partners in the ongoing and lifelong endeavor of active and healthy living. Keep active, have fun and enjoy our great outdoors!
