I am continually amazed at what God does when we step out in faith and let Him use us to accomplish His will. It is not a coincidence that we have called this part of our journey together “The God Factor.” This month allow me to share some of the accomplishments God has been doing:

–More than 100 families are involved with Financial Peace University and are discovering new ways to be empowered to serve our Lord! –A date was set to have “Cinta” come in a shred documents, a service to the community. 6,000 pounds of materials were shred. A plaque we received from the company says that we saved: 51 trees, 21,000 gallons of water, 6 barrels of oil and 9 cubic yards of landfill! –The crate in the fellowship hall is beginning to overflow with men and women’s winter clothing for the Recovery Center – keep them coming! –You may have noticed the work going on outside of the building. New gutters are being installed and “ice guards” have been put on the roof. Prayerfully this will stop the water leaks we have had and prevent damage to the building. –Daily Prayers are being emailed each day.

When God is at work, sometimes it takes us out of our comfort zones. With many events taking place fall, there is a constant need for volunteers. At the same time illness has hit Pastor Gloe and kept him under the weather. Others too have been hard pressed. This past month we said our earthly farewell to Elaine Guebara as the Lord called her to Himself. The reality is that even through the trials of life, “The God Factor” is having a powerful effect.
