I handled new business opportunities that were deemed too small in revenue to be assigned to our sales force, and I talked directly to prospects and clients generated by Huntington Bank referrals. I gathered enough relevant information about their businesses to provide them with P&C quotes, and sold and bound these accounts.

new to the Sky/Huntington Insurance agency in Ohio, mainly using online systems. I evaluated information provided by the sales force, assessed the risks, underwrote the risks internally, and generated quick and accurate quotes and proposals, and then issue policies online This required great computer proficiency, and involved building healthy relationships with the direct underwriters for the commercial insurance carriers

business accounts, specifically in the Small Commercial division of the Property and Casualty dept. I built relationships both with insurance clients and with insurance carrier direct underwriters.

School teaching, and supervision of all Sunday activities. I chaired a ten person Administrative Board, and was the primary "visionary," proposing and outlining strategies for growth. I used a home-office for weekly duties, which grew my self-discipline, time-management skills, and skills as a self-starter.

3a. Skills and Interests1b. Computers (and related) – Through my work and my church involvement, I have come to have a
great interest in using computers and the internet as a primary source of retrieving and storing information, and as an extremely efficient means of accomplishing business-oriented tasks, and communicating the results of such work to colleagues at work and in church.
2b. Music - I play piano, various synthesizers, acoustic and electric guitar, electric bass guitar, and sing lead and harmony vocals. I used these talents semi-professionally for several years, and more recently, I have focused my musical skills on use in church.
3b. English Language and Literature – Not did my Bachelors in Humanities have an English Lit. emphasis but I have maintained a lifelong passion for both English grammar and syntax, and also for classic and modern English fiction and poetry, especially by Christian authors, or authors stressing redemptive themes.
4b. Theology / Church History / Philosophy - Although my interest in theology springs from religious conviction, my seminary training also exposed me to a variety of religious and philosophical traditions, especially from a historical viewpoint.
5b. Ancient Near Eastern History/Culture - Also a result of seminary training, this includes English translations of original sources as well as general and specific studies of ANE historical periods from ca 3000 BC through AD 200.
6b. Biblical Languages - I have moderate translation skills for Classical Hebrew (ca 1400-400 BC) and Koine Greek (ca 300 BC-AD 300), and cursory skills in comparing Semitic Languages in transliteration.
4a. Personal Data1b. Family - I am married to Cheryl L. Ludwig, a music teacher with experience in public & private
schools. She also teaches private lessons in violin and viola using a hybrid technique combining the "Suzuki Method" and her own developments. Her Bachelors in Music Education is from Bowling Green State University. We have two teenage sons preparing to enter college.
