(cont.) 1995 – 2014 Director of Operations – Drum, Rotor & Foundry Group, McHenry, IL 2003 – 2007 Responsible for nine manufacturing operations in North and South America. Sales of these operations totaled $500M with 1000 employees. Duties included planning and sourcing of product from several Far Eastern and European suppliers. Manufacturing Operations included four foundries and seven machining plants (some combined). Labor relations experience included negotiations with the USW and CAW. Single point focus for all operations activity within the product lines Managed capacity utilization and restructuring efforts within the group Operations member of Far-Eastern Joint Venture Team

Led product line restructuring effort that led to subsequent closures of all the facilities and the movement to off-shore sourcing and investment.

Division Manager, McHenry, IL 1995 – 2003 On-Site executive responsible for two operations producing braking products for the automotive aftermarket and original equipment market. Responsibilities include entire supply chain management of the McHenry, IL site of 350 employees and $150M in sales and a greenfield facility in Waupaca, WI, site of 60 employees and $40M in sales. Implemented a Continuous Improvement program with over 190 projects resulting in multi-million dollar savings.

Subsequently added Six-Sigma to the continuous improvement tools. Member of the due-diligence team for two completed acquisitions Year over year product cost savings for five years continuous through process improvements, restructuring, and

supplier negotiations Coordinated two restructuring efforts involving the closing of two plants and moving the production into existing,

lower cost facilities. Managed the construction and manning of the new world class OEM facility in Waupaca, WI ALLIEDSIGNAL BRAKING SYSTEMS - AMERICAS 1979 - 1995 Plant Manager, Gallatin, TN 1993 - 1995 Site Manager with profit/loss responsibility for $90 M sales, 400 employee facility producing automotive master cylinders and other brake products. Processes include ferrous and non-ferrous machining, one-piece flow assembly, bonding and welding. Workforce is organized into high commitment work teams in a continuous improvement culture. Doubled the workforce in two years while conversion cost was reduced by 8 and 10%. Implemented Pull System that reduced inventory by 15%. Implemented Alternate Work Plan that allowed the plant to run on a seven-day manufacturing schedule.

Operations/Program/Plant Manager, St. Joseph, MI 1991 - 1993 Operations, materials, manufacturing and quality engineering responsibility for the master cylinder product line at this 1200 employee, $250M sales plant. Assisted in the transition of the work environment from a traditional UAW supervisor/employee relationship to participative management. Developed and implemented plan to relocate product line to another state and met all goals and timetables without

any interruption of customer schedules. Implemented product line plan that resulted in a 12% conversion cost reduction. Marketing Product Manager, South Bend, IN 1989 - 1991 Responsible for pricing and preparing customer proposals for the Brake Actuation System products. Goals were measured in terms of market share growth and profitability. Developed business and strategic plans and ensured proper implementation of action plans by manufacturing and product engineering. Coordinated activities with international divisions. Doubled the master cylinder product line sales via customer wins during the tenure in this position.
