Hi Jason,

As for your performance in 264, I was also thrilled to see your final exam result and I’m honoured that you think I was even a small contributing factor in your success.  I’m sure you know that 99.9% of the credit for the success goes to you.  I could see your determination to master the course material growing more and more ‘steely’ as the semester went on, and you were among the standouts in the 2012 class for me in terms of hard work and discipline.  In each lab and clinic you were there, participating fully and engaged with the material, even (especially) if it was difficult.   I also really respected and appreciated how willing you were to contribute to and engage with the rest of the class, it makes the teacher’s job so much easier and more rewarding.  In every group there are only a few students with the confidence and interpersonal skills to risk answering questions and working with other people in the class - whenever I saw you in a class I knew that there was at least one of those people in the room, so thank you.

The students who have to work hard for their success in 264 are always the ones that stay in my mind for years down the track and you are certainly among that group for me in 2012.  I would love to hear what you get up to as you go on with your degree, and beyond, and if you think I can be of any help at some point in the future then don’t hesitate to ask, I’ll always be happy to hear from you.  It was a real pleasure to get to know you last semester.Cheers, and take care,Sarah
