I am very pleased to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Michael Salinger. Michael was employed by me to work for “The Insulation Man” and “The Solar Guy” as a sales manager from November 2008 – November 2012 and worked under my supervision during that time. He led a team that exceeded every target we set.
From the time that Michael started with us, I was impressed with his drive, determination and tenaciousness. He helped form, train and lead a team of 10 quality salespeople selling insulation with a profit of approximately $250K per month. Michael achieved sales for our company with new corporate, government as well as private consumers also gaining key accounts by cold calling. Although his system is truly proven, Michael learnt new skills fast.
Michael is a hard-working individual who knows how to rally a team quickly and effectively. He works well with professionalism and humanity towards all our staff and was dependable, highly motivated and mature. He has always exhibited superior communication skills and gets along well with his peers often helping and listening to them and was highly respected by colleagues, customers and management. Michael took our company to the next level by not only working hard for the company but also by going to the extent of using his own funds to set up a call center in India to generate additional leads as the market matured. This was a brilliant initiative supported by me.
The products that our company was selling were to a large extent funded by government initiatives that ended suddenly due to a change in government policy. Therefore all of our staff had to find new sources of income after some of the government initiatives were withdrawn and later ended completely. Michael is a very talented sales manager I have no hesitation in recommending him highly as a strong asset to your business as a sales manager, key account executive, business development executive. I have several times offered to hire him again myself.
