RECOMMENDATIONS

Eric Brown has been my personal trainer since 2007 and I continually find myself delighted by the focused attention, expertise, and fun he brings to my training. I benefit from his endless patience as I build my body awareness and recover from injury. The variety he brings in approach to strength training, flexibility, fitness and nutrition keep my interest, address my preferences and provide the results I want. Eric’s commitment to personal development is central to who he is and the compassion he expresses is a gift to experience. -Cheryl Rochford 2009- Eric Brown is one of the most knowledgeable people I know. He holds the gift of not only transferring this knowledge into his own life but into the lives of his clients and friends. His enthusiasm for living a healthy lifestyle is contagious. When I first started training with Eric I was not aware of how little I knew about exercise programs and proper diet. I was sure if I went through certain motions I would see change It was ultimately Eric's focus on perfecting my form, and showing me the importance of the connection between mind and body, that helped me to enjoy working out and eating better. Taking care of myself was no longer a set of ambiguous rules it was something I created. Eric's number one priority was making a program specific to me. I wasn't sure what my fitness goals were at first but after training with Eric, him teaching me different things and asking what I liked and disliked about the exercises and the meals, I began to form my own fitness goals, my own vision of what I wanted to get out of my workouts and how I wanted to live my life. Eric helped me to see what I needed for myself, gave me the confidence in to try new things. He wanted to see me succeed and he was there to support me when I needed it. -Paula Buffington- Eric Brown is my personal trainer. The time spent with him has been most rewarding. He is not only knowledgeable, but compassionate as well. I might add that we have fun during the “work out.” Leaving the session I feel energetic and positive. Join me and enjoy good health with Eric. -Jean Baker, Age 75 years- My past experience of personal trainers has not been very positive, but you and your training style has taught me that the right trainer makes all the difference. You have a great ability to look at training in a holistic way. You look at body results, self-image, nutrition, discipline, and education as factors that strengthen me as a whole person. You committed yourself to my growth by staying up to date on cutting edge techniques and philosophies and applied them to my specific needs. I continually see improvements because of your focus, positive energy, and interest, always keeping each session fresh, challenging, motivating, and I continually improve. -Stacy Bishop- Eric, I just wanted to let you know how great I feel about myself and all I have accomplished and it's all because of YOU. Your weight training philosophy convinced me that it is possible to lose weight by combining weight lifting with cardio and how

important it was to revise my eating habits. The realistic goals we set, keeping me focused during our weekly workout sessions and your positive attitude kept me extremely motivated during these past two months. I'm impressed with my progress and very proud to say 20 pounds lighter. You have instilled in me the 3 "Ds" of a lifetime, weight-management program: Desire, Dedication and Determination. Thank you for all you have given to me – the knowledge that I can do it! - Nancy Weikal - Just a note to wish you well in Boulder and thank you for all you did for me and my fitness here in Santa Fe. You were:

prompt and professional for our training sessions

highly motivating and gave honest positive reinforcement when I focused and did things right

sensitive to my needs as a woman with arthritis and fibromyalgia

vigilant regarding my form during execution of moves

constantly making sure that I was breathing correctly. (I hold my breath way too much!)

great at changing my routine every session so I wouldn't get bored and drop out

a living example of what consistent exercise and clean living can do for the body and mind. (You walk the walk, not just talk the talk!)

good at reminding me to drink lots of water and eat properly between sessions. (I forget easily!)

effective - my level of pain was very low from your work with me and my flexibility high

Thank you for everything and I can only hope to find another trainer of your quality. –Sherry Fisher 2002- My name is Elaine Harris, and I am a former personal trainer. Some people may wonder why a former personal trainer would need to hire her own trainer. The answer is simple, we're human too and can find ourselves in a rut just like anyone else can. A personal trainer is a great tool to use to help you get out of that rut and to get re-motivated. I personally have had many trainers through the years and one of the first things I observe in them is whether they are focused 100% on me. This is very important. A personal trainer should not be easily distracted. Conversations should be held to a minimum and allotted in-to the rest periods or before or after your workout is finished. When I first met Eric Brown, I thought to myself "What can this kid offer me." By first impression he seemed young and inexperienced. Boy was I wrong. That adage "do not judge a book by its cover" is so true- not only was Eric a mature, well spoken, intelligent young man, he was also incredibly focused, knowledgeable and highly creative. In my 22 years of weight training, he had me doing exercises and certain techniques that I had never done or even seen before' Each session was not only very challenging but they were fun too. Because Eric was always changing my routine and incorporating many different techniques, he kept things dynamic and interesting. Eric Brown may be young, but he is by far the best personal trainer I've ever had. – Elaine Harris-
