Zenlike was an early stage technology startup that was working on using artificial intelligence to assist in Relationship Management and Meeting Coordination.
At Zenlike, David researched and executed marketing strategies by designing an informative company website and writing engaging blog posts that generated meaningful conversation and website traffic. Responsibilities also included, providing comprehensive client support and developing social media content.
COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANT
SMO 438/637 - Managing Non-Profit Organizations is a blended undergraduate and MBA business course, where volunteering consulting services to a Non-Profit Organization is a key component to course material.
David was fortunate to work with the Centre for Public Involvement to develop a communications plan in collaboration with the City of Edmonton and the University of Alberta. David was a key contributor to the consulting team that successfully designed a social media campaign that included community events to engage the public.
ACCOUNTING SUPPORT
Primed Medical is an innovative Canadian designer and manufacturer of protective medical supplies.
Providing support to the Accounting department was the main responsibility assigned to David at Primed. He was accountable for analyzing employee expenses as well as organizing and entering company invoices for payment. His effective and efficient performance led to additional assignments, including maintaining daily communication with clients regarding their invoice status.

JDC West is a business case competition where teams from top-tier Western Canadian Business schools have three hours to analyze, prepare and present a situational analysis, strategic recommendation and comprehensive implementation strategy.
David was a diligent team member that contributed leadership, which fostered positive growth and team development. He also had an extraordinary opportunity to provide clear and passionate presentations for CEOs and industry professionals.
FOUNDER
Unitea is an original and innovative student group initiative that was designed to connect Students, Faculty and Alumni through tea and one to one conversation.
David provided leadership to grow and establish the organization to three locations on campus with nearly 200 engaged members. Members had free access to lockers that were filled with tea supplies, snacks and games. Unitea was successful in raising sustainable funding and support from the Dean of Students and the Office of Sustainability. The project was featured in The Gateway, Metro News, Lazy Faire and You Alberta publications.
ACADEMIC DELEGATE
The International Study Tour of China involved extensive travel through Beijing, Xian, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Delegates visited various Corporate Headquarters for exposure to Chinese business practices. David was tremendously inspired and impressed by the innovation demonstrated by these companies and he thoroughly appreciated travelling to the Great Wall, Summer Palace and The Bund. Travelling to China with the University of Alberta was an unforgettable experience that provided David with hands on experience with the subtle but profound differences in Chinese business etiquette.
